From what I saw from the dark youtube version, it looks decent enough.

More epic...I guess.

But yeah, I'm not a huge fan of Fox. They DID butcher Daredevil, studio controlled both X3 and Fantastic Four with rushed schedules and questionable decisions (Cyclops dying), ruined The League of the Extraordinary Gentlemen, again butchered Kingdom of Heaven, and the list goes on. Hell, they even had a limited release of Borat, thinking it wasn't going to do well.

Not a fan...but I'mg giving FF: Rise of the SS a shot...

You DC people. You'll use any little excuss to try to put a damper on what was shown and the excitement it has generated. Take your head out of the sand, stop *****ing, and enjoy the ride. For goodness sake. The trailer was awsome, the movie is going to be huge, people will flock to see it. I know that puts a bee in your shorts, but get used to it. This movie will rock.
Wrong as usual,Bosef is a massive X Men fan, which erm is a Marvel book

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL...DC people?

I'm actually not a DC person at all, ask anyone here. The closest label I'll accept here is that I'm a "Singer-ite" which required I be a Marvel person for quite a while, as did Raimi's two Spider-Man movies which I love. And I am a huge X-Men freak as they were my first foray into the comic book world as a child.

Get your head out of the sand and realize that the X-Men are not real and you are not psyhic and know very little about me.

No, I think for some fans there is more behind this. This is yet ANOTHER SNUB by Fox to fans. It started with the first F4, which while barely passable as a good movie, failed to connect with a lot of people. It reeked of studio politics and mass-marketing injections like rock/pop music, extreme sports, etc. It was a movie made to make money, not to explore a group of ordinary, bright people who are gifted amazing abilities.

There's a huge difference. As much as one may hate Superman Returns, it is a movie that explores what happens when Superman returns to an Earth that's moved on beyond him. Yes, it has its Hollywood moments, but neveronce are you yanked from the film by an overt product placement or song placement that reminds you of something outside of the film, rather then immersing you more in it. X-Men 3, as much as I hate it and it has its own set of studio controls, sticks to this as well. It's a movie, not a debit card on film.

Then you have X-Men 3 which was...regardless if you like the movie...horrific in terms of how far Fox went to decieve fans. Everything from the preproeuction set reports, to the trailers, to the notorious Penn and Kinberg blogs, to the "Sneak Peek of X3" on the F4 DVD reeked of a concern over the bottom line above that of the consumer.

So this movie, AGAIN, by Fox is just another snub that pisses people off. Their favorite characters are in the hands of someone who plays with the consumer's dollar and violates the inviolate trust between consumer and manufacturer and does so using their fanboysim as a tool to their own demise.

It's sad and somewhat unethical...and it will catch up with them. Look at Fox's Blockbuster movies the past few years and while they make money, find the one's that get great reviews. They're not. F4 was panned as was X3 for the most part. This will show later on, when F42 sees better DVD profits and rental profits then they do in-theater numbers.

Have you lived under a ****ing Rock?
Its clear Story is trying to get this right!
Fighting against using Ultimate Galactus and "Surfer-Bots"
The ****ing Fantasticar (Need I say more)
Atempting to make the thing look better
FULL DOOM

The trailer itself shows that this movie is going to be something way better than the original. Story wasn't the freedom he has now on the first one. Your comments about Fox are just well, Anti-Marvel sounding.

THIS MOVIE WILL BLOW YOUR ****ING HEAD OFF.. And a few days ago I was against Story..

Sorry, but that sounds like a load of ****, from fans that see themselves as "the important component" of the audience. I'm sorry, you are few, BUT loud. :cwink: I see them simply following the plan they used last time, and IMO, that plan worked.

I am the all seeing, all knowing, ultimate FF, and Marvel fan. I love anything Marvel. Marvel charactors are head and shoulders above anything the "other" has to offer.

Bosef please grow up. Snub. LOL

Anyways maybe FOX wanted to tweak the trailer more and allowing it online now would enable some to post stills showing some of the incomplete F/X that are not so noticeable when moving. Who knows. Who freaking cares. Buy a ticket you cheap sob's.

How did the plan work ?:huh:they'd have made the same amount of money whether the trailer debuted online or at the theatre, this is just a bad marketing choice that leaves a massive chunk of fans all feeling fox are *****es

Right on. Fox knows what they are doing. They are just disgruntled, sad fanboys of the "other" side.

Tweak it,oh new one:up: yeah because ppl wouldn't have torn apart the one we are getting ON the bootleg

oh and as for the last part, get your head straight,OVERSEAS and Blackmail:o

It's okiay.

I mean it is nothing to write home about. It still obviously has (IMO) the lame dialogue just from the trailer. And besides while it looked sweet it was selling it all on SFX. SFX that are much better than the first, but I wasn't sold on deeper characters or plot.

CGI isn't the only thing in the world. To see a great teaser watch the one for Spider-Man 2. This impressed me enough to consider seeing it in tehaters, but first I'll want to see a trailer that proves it is a much better story and not another lame sitcom//comedy thing with lots of product placement. And I'd also like to see a few good reviews for this one.

It was cool, but nothing to write home aobut, I thought anyway.

No only YOU feel that way. I can wait till it comes out on the internet. I did not feel snubbed.

Maybe its a psychological apporach..

Like, when you in a dark room but you know there is light just on the side.. and your there for so long and you hear everone talking about how beautiful the light is.. when you finally see it.. You feel more fullfilled.

I find it sad that Fox's marketing choices are causing people to tear eachother apart.

I'm speaking of the promotional plan as a whole. Yes, I believe the promotion of the film was probably the main thing they did right.

Massive chunk?

Well, I guess you count on your hands and feet higher than I can.:cwink:

We're not tearing each other apart yet.. but I got a chainsaw by my side for when it starts getting really hairy in here.

Do not quote me and then spew ignorance. You're DC vs. Marvel crap is what little boys fighting over their toys is made of. Play by yourself.

Trailer's already out in Quicktime Japan, including the HD version. Stop yer bickering and go there.

Arguing isn't going to make FOX change anything. The real power we have is not to support a movie if we know FOX is screwing it. Personally I liked x3, and yeah i scratched my head at some of the crap they did but hey what can you really do? Either boycott a film or get your own studio up and running and do a film the of this genre the way it's supposed to be done. I know it's easier said then done, but the really sad thing is despite all our *****ing and unhappniess we still go a see the product anyway.

While a few of the past comic flicks have been good none of them has still hit the mark perfectly. I think Superman Returns was pretty close despite all the lameness and lovesickness that Singer injected into the movie. Spiderman also was decent on that level. One day people we'll get someone who'll actually do this. I think it's also important to note that not everything no matter how much you believe in is going to work on the big screen, so some leway has to be given.

Nothing to do with Fox marketing. If they released it on the internet, same time as the theater, we'd still be here arguing. You should have been here before the 1st one. Same people, with the same, tired, warmed over complaints. There are those who think it will stink like the 1st one. Those who think it will go thru the roof. Those who think it will do better, but not great. I happen to be the one who thinks it will go thru the roof, if it is marketed right. I also believe 300 domestic is not an impossibilty. Improbible, but far from impossible.
