BLACKEST NIGHT: FLASH #3
On sale February 17 - 3 of 3 - 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US
Written by Geoff Johns - Art and cover by Scott Kolins - Variant cover by Francis Manapul
It's a case of the chicken-or-the-egg as Barry Allen takes on the Black Lantern Reverse-Flash and seeks answers to the very nature of Professor Zoom's impending resurrection. Plus, the Rogues witness an act so horrifying that it changes one of their own forever.
Retailers please note: This issue will ship with two covers. For every 25 copies of the Standard Edition (with a cover by Scott Kolins), retailers may order one copy of the Variant Edition (with a cover by Francis Manapul). Please see the Previews Order Form for more information.
A few things about this issue: Readers will meet the greatest threat to face the Flash family in decades. A new hero will step into an old speedster’s boots. Barry Allen makes the ultimate sacrifice. Yep. You read that correctly. Courtesy of superstar writer Geoff Johns and artist Ethan Van Sciver. You’ve heard it said before, but this issue doesn’t dance around it — nothing will be the same.
FLASH: REBIRTH #5 hits 11/18.
I can't stand that stupid murder retcon.
I don't get the point of bringing the character back if you are going to make such fundamental changes in them. They didn't need to go all Horatio Caine with Barry. So lame.
I'm still thinking (and hoping) that it was Professor Zoom using time travel to kill his mother and frame his father and Barry will correct it at the end.
Wally is just going to wear the reverse flash uniform.

Kid Flash costume, you mean. Let the clothes match the status, right?Wally is just going to wear the reverse flash uniform.

Wally is just going to wear the reverse flash uniform.
Yeah, but my point was that Johns will inevitably treat Wally like the "junior" Flash and Barry as the "real" one. My wit is just too sophisticated, it seems. Le sigh.![]()
