...actually, she outsold Flash as of November.

BUT THE POINT STANDS!

Wonder Woman's sales would be much better if it weren't for Heinberg's botched relaunch and the horridness of Amazons Attack.

Now she needs something on par with the Sinestro Corps War to revive her sales

I just don't feel like I need to see all the day-to-day doins of Wally West.

Then what are you doing reading his solo title then? Wally West is more than just The Flash, damn he has a life beyond superheroing.

Plus it's been...what? Six issues tops? Less? That's hardly time for an ongoing series to establish its cast, much less set a real tone for itself. There is always a wait and see approach.

Which more or less won't be happening now.

Yeah, and people keep bringing up Johns run as some justification for their hate on Waid's current short lived run. When in Johns run, it was a lot of melodrama, reading Barry's old letter, working as a mechanic bull****. It was just one big action fest or anything. I love Johns run, but it's really no different in tone that what Waid is doing. Hell, Waid focusing on the kids is on par with most of the focus being on the Rogues in Johns' run.

Well, to be fair her sales have always sucked. It's marginally picking up now, but probably only due to an introductory excitement about Simone. I hope the streak lasts, but I don't hold out for it. Female solo protagonists just don't do all that well in this game.

I don't think I understand what you're talking about. Where has Waid delved too far into the nitty-gritty of every little thing Wally does? He's mostly been showing us how Wally and Linda cope with the kids' rapid aging and powers and having Wally fight vagina-monsters.

Well, they were certainly more fun than vagina-monsters. That's the one part I really can't fathom about Waid's current run. Vagina-monsters? On what planet could they have made for a compelling villain?

hey I'm all for wally having a kid, But i don't give a rats ass about these kids..they're ******ed and annoying as hell. I want to read a real Flash. I don't care about thier rapid againg situation or thier goofy ass adventures. they should cancel this book and retire wally until the final crisis. I know waid trying to make them into the fantastic four by them superhero-ing together....but thats not for The Flash.

I don't think I understand what you're talking about. Where has Waid delved too far into the nitty-gritty of every little thing Wally does? He's mostly been showing us how Wally and Linda cope with the kids' rapid aging and powers and having Wally fight vagina-monsters.

I guess there's just been too much focus on the kids for me, really. It's boring to me. And the vagina monsters just haven't been up to par for a Flash enemy. Salvation Run is a good read, but I'd like it to finish soon so all the real villains can come back to Earth and give our heroes decent foils again.

Jesus it's been one arc and Waid is establishing cast and people are going crazy about not seeing enough Wally.

Oh, right. Tom Peyer is responsible for the Hourman series, which was fantastic in its own right and has a pretty similar tone for what I'd want out of a Flash series. The interview he gave with Newsarama was really weird, though. He kind of seemed obnoxious.

the ride isn't enjoyable, obviously. I think waid should've taken a page out of busiek's handle on Chris Kent. we get him in small doses,while focsuing the larger story on superman.

Waid's arc is just too melodramatic and boring for my tastes.

I'm reading it now and I'm loving his attitude.

I kind of wish he'd write a Plastic Man series. He's actually a funny guy, as opposed to most creators, who just tell lame jokes in interviews.
