No. We guys don't ****ing like this one bit.Oh, damn. So you guys don't like this?
No, Flash did not suck. Waid made some misfires, but Peyer had really turned the book around. I'm very frustrated that he and Wally weren't given a chance. And yes, this will mean really good Flash stories, but it will also mean good****ingbye to Wally West.didn't Flash suck anyways and this would mean really good Flash stories now?
You think that's gonna happen? Really? You really think that's gonna happen? ...sorry, I forget, you're new to DC. No. It won't happen. Why doesn't DC make more than one Flash book, only this would make more sense because it's actually two different characters. Didn't they do that with GL?
DiDio's already said that's how it's gonna be. He barely even tried to dress it up as anything else. But he basically already said that Wally's stuck in Titans while Barry takes everything else.Regardless of how he goes about doing it, Wally will end up playing second-fiddle to Barry. It's a foregone conclusion. You don't bring back a character who's been dead for twenty years just to have him be a supporter to his ex-sidekick. Johns might not boot Wally out to the far reaches of space like he did with Kyle, and he may not even take every opportunity to show how much better than Wally Barry is like he did with Hal and Kyle, but Wally's role is going to be reduced. If Wally gets his own series, great, I'll read that. But if it's just the one Flash series, that and JLA are pretty clearly going to be Barry's, and without those Wally gets reduced to the same place as Donna Troy--a glorified supporter who is, for all intents and purposes, still basically treated as a second-class version of their ex-mentor.
This blind, completely unfounded optimism is not like you.I'm excited. I think everyone going "OH NOES WALLYYUYYYY" is overreacting just a tad. Johns lusts for Wally in a way that he never did for Kyle, and even Kyle did well for about two years post-Rebirth.
Wake up, Doc. DC officially doesn't care about us anymore. We, the generation that stuck with them through the X-over madness and the Image craze. We, the generation that stuck with them while Marvel got Ultimized and Quesada came to power. We, the generation that still believes DC movies will one day be more than just Superman and Batman while Marvel's probably getting ready to make a freaking Squirrel Girl movie. We, their real fans, do not matter anymore.I'm in total agreement here. Johns wrote Wally for too long to just shelve him.

I'd be more broken up about that if not for War Machine by Pak and Manco. F***in' Manco, man! I love Leonardo Manco.Even if they did that, they would just cancel the better book in favor of the more popular book. Goodbye Iron Man Director of SHIELD.![]()
Damn. I guess that kinda sucks... I am still going to buy the hell out of this but it kind of surprises me that DC would cancel the current Flash book just because of Flash: Rebirth. It would make sense to actually see how sales of the current Flash book are affected first and go from there.No. We guys don't ****ing like this one bit.

I'm sorry, but the idea of a new flash having the mantle every 20 years was a unique premise to the series. And taking it away from Bart so rapidly, and then doing it again to Wally maybe ruins the [head, the tail, the] whole damn thing.
Comic nerds hate procreation.

Do I really have to start listing the 80% of comic legacies who have been totally f***ed over in the wake of the previous version's return? I'm sure Johns'll go in with the best of intentions, but I seriously, seriously doubt it'll work out with Barry and Wally getting equal billing. There will come a day when Barry is the indisputable main Flash in the ongoing series and Wally is relegated to the Countdown of the day, just like it happened with Hal and Kyle, just like it happened with Ollie and Connor, just like it happens pretty much every time.
Don't you getit? That's what we're saying! If Barry gets the #1 spot and is seen as the top Flash, that is Wally getting pushed aside.Barry is obviously going to get the #1 spot overall and seen as the top Flash, but I highly doubt that Wally is just going to get pushed aside Kyle Rayner or Connor Hawke style.
