Well, no, that wouldn't be very Supermanish of him. Conner should come back and punt him into a red sun. :)

Conner should just reality-punch himself back into existence, then reality-punch SBP out of it.

And the explanation should be "Because I'm Superboy, and **** that guy."

I'm hoping and praying for Conner to be in the lightning rod. What happened to Bart was sad and all, but I'd much rather have Conner back.

In all honesty my interest is tempered by that if Conner came back he'd probably have Johns writing him again, and... eh. Seeing how every other DC character's been run into the ground I'm okay with SB taking a vacation until someone with some sense is running things again.

I'd say there's about equal probability for either Conner or Bart to be in that damned rod. Conner because it's a Legion story and I'm pretty certain Johns is going to cram every single Legionnaire in there somehow, and Bart because it's a 30th century story.

Actually, I take that back. With Anusjoy Yat somehow in the mix, I would not be surprised at all if Johns brought both of them back and have all three of them ******** Prime.

I'd actually be okay with that. Maybe he can have Captain Atom come back in his not-crazy form and help out while he's at it.

I'm a bit annoyed by Buttload appearing in the story, frankly. Once again it seems like he's getting a buttload of credit that he hasn't earned. Last Guardian of the Universe? Seriously? Not only does this take away any sense of threat from any of his future GLC appearances, it also really dashes my wild fantasies of him dying in Blackest Night and Kyle getting Ion back from him.

Ahem. Anywho...

Should I remind Johns that, in the original prophecy, Ass got his ass killed? Heck, should I remind Johns that Prime was actually right and that Yat didn't actually beat him in any way shape or form? Why's he even here?

Wow, you really still hoped Kyle would become Ion again? It's time to face facts, my friend: Kyle is and will forever be a second-rate supporter now that Hal's back. In the immortal words of Metallica, it's sad but true.

Unlike Metallica, Geoff Johns isn't immortal.

...

That is all. :boba:

What sells today won't sell tomorrow. Both Hal and Kyle are testicle to that.

I hate Metallica, actually.

I hate them for putting me through "Ride the Lightning" on Rock Band.

...oh **** I just realized that's where Johns got that slogan from. Metallica caused Flash Rebirth.

Still on topic!

I love playing Metallica songs on Rock Band. I'd probably love it even more if I had the Flash on drums.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you don't play on Expert. Like Wally would.

Nope, I'm still stuck at medium. I think my hands would break if I played on expert.

Wally could play all the instruments on expert at the same time, though. He should start up his own band. Like, literally, his own band. He's the only member. It'd rock.

I think Bart has the advantage right now of coming back because of the revamp of the Flash title and Johns would probably love to have every Flash in Flash: Rebirth just like he did with the Green Lanterns in Green Lantern: Rebirth.

Also DC made the Flashes integral to the Lightning Rod, Bart lost his powers the very moment Wally returned by whatever the Lightning Rod and the loss of his powers was linked to Wally's return.

lol Yat could get stabbed quickly by giant rods of lead by the children of the white lobe and the prophercy could be complete... in the 31st century. I'm all right with Yat, but I would like to see him more active. He's in the background quite often in GLC, but then again, he's a rookie and needs to work his way up, even though he has ION.

Like Corp said, it would be great if they brought Captain Atom back the way he was in "Public Enemies" or Captain Atom: Armageddon. I was thrilled to read Armageddon and see Atom get a story all his own and then they go and make him Monarch? All that time in the his own story and then they make him crazy and a villain? Hopefully, he will come in Final Crisis blow away Darkseid and eat a burrito at the same time.

One thing that struck me in "Rogues' Revenge" was the repeated reference to Barry Allen as "The Flash of Central City". Seeing that this is where Barry's history lies, I'd assume a new "Flash" series with Barry is going to be located in Central City. However, reading the "Blood Will Run" TPB, I get a real sense of how Johns' developed Keystone, gave it an identity, and populated it with great supporting characters like Chyre and Morillo. I don't see him leaving Keystone behind completely.

I think we may end up with a scenario where Wally West remains in Keystone, while Barry Allen patrols Central City. How will this affect the comics? I believe that "The Flash" will start with #1 of a new volume, with Barry Allen as the star. But we could get another new title, based around Wally West and his kids, which retains the Keystone setting and ensemble. Call it "Speed Force" or something, I dunno.

Maybe Wally should come out of the secret identity closet and just be referred to by his name. His name is really cool and it does sound "fast". It worked for the FF and Jean Grey.

According to Ethan Van Sciver, though Wally is getting a new costume, he'll still go by the name of The Flash.

Sad but true. I believe I'll call Wally's new costume "the Second-Class Suit."

He just got his secret identity back a few years ago, though. Plus, he asked Hal for his identity back to protect his family, and now his family are superheroes too. I'd think he'd want his secret identity more than ever now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Johns sets Barry's series in Central City and proceeds to illustrate key differences between it and Keystone. Contrast can help build a city's character a lot.

I'd gladly buy a Wally series if they keep publishing one, but I'd prefer Flash Family as the title. Speed Force makes them sound like an X-treem '90s team.

I'd buy a Wally series too. They really should start one up, even if Barry is going to be the star of "The Flash" from next year. I actually wish Johns would write any Wally-led title, since he did so well with the character in his previous run. But after "Flash: Rebirth", they'll inevitably put him on the Barry title. Try and make the bitter pill easier to swallow.
