Again not really. Wally really didn't mentor Bart, that was Max Mercury and then he was raised by Jay and Joan. Wally originally saw Bart as someone who was unable to assume the mantle of the Flash until he got shot in the kneecap by Deathstroke.

Dick on the other hand has assumed responsibility of raising Damian and is mentoring him. Also, Damian is younger than Bart on a psychological level, his mind is far more impressionable than Bart's.
Filthy lies. Wally absolutely mentored Bart a bit. Max did the lion's share, granted, but one of the very first things that happened to Bart when Iris brought him to the present was that Wally had to get into his head and figure out a way to teach him to slow his metabolism down so he'd stop hyper-aging. He also screwed with Jesse Quick's head in an effort to make Bart step up and prove he's capable of being the heir to the Flash legacy.

Yeah, he did teach him some things. But he really doesn't count as a mentor to Bart. Just like how I've been shown a few things by other people in the kitchen I work at, but I only consider one person to be my actual mentor.

Bart's mentor is Max Mercury, followed by Jay Garrick.

Which was rather dickish.

Eh, I look at Bart as more of a communal mentor situation. The Flash family tended to be pretty tightly knit in Waid's run, when Bart was doing most of his character-building. It's not like Bart and Wally were islands to each other or anything, at least. I'd call Max more of a mentor to Bart than anyone else, but the whole Flash family mentored him to some extent. Granted, when he became Kid Flash I was expecting some more Wally/Bart tales that never came, but maybe Speed Force will fix that.

Looking forward to X-S a lot, too. I'm really glad Johns kept himself from killing her or consigning her to some musty other Earth's future where she'll never, ever be seen again, like he did with the other members of her and Waid's Legions.

She's Bart's cousin, but unlike Bart, she stayed in the future and joined the Legion of Super Heroes. She's basically like a more responsible Bart (although I guess they're about even in that respect now).

Can't wait this is the only book besides Superman Secret Origin that I enjoy by Johns right now. It's not Wally but it's a good read. I think he fell off post Blackest Night on the GL related stuff. I still read it but it says alot when I care about a freaking cat more than I do about the rainbow coalition in GL proper. But he understands The Flash and his rogues no matter who has the mantle.

Unless something drastic changes between Rebirth and Speed Force, he will still be the (other) Flash. He got a new(ish) costume (that's really just his '90s costume again). Only difference is now he'll have a book of his own instead of being neglected for months on end.

Sounds cool.

Yah, she's Barry's granddaughter, too. The Flash Family is a regular U.N. :woot:

All the flashes should have different color costumes. World's fastest SKITTLES. You know, Red/Yellow/Blue/Green/Purple/Black/Fuschia/Orange/White!

No wait...

Just got a chance to read the latest issue this evening. It's all finally starting to go somewhere, heh. Manapul's artwork was really carrying this thing the past issue and a half but Johns finally stepped on the gas. I REALLY like the coloring on this I think the guys name is something Buccelleto, I think Brian. I don't have the issue as I read my friend's issue but I think it's Brian Buccelleto. He should totally get an award for the coloring, it's been great.

I just love the way Johns handles the Rogues and makes them totally super bad ass. Next issue is really going to be interesting to see. Rogues vs. Reverse Rogues. It's on like Donkey Kong.

#4 was another fun issue with great visuals. I'm not feeling too well about the future for the 25th century Top, but I loved his dialogue. If Johns fixes Barry's past to it's real history, this series will be a joy.

Anyone else find it funny that Captain Boomerang's reason for being brought back was apparently to throw a boomerang at Dove? What a sad, pathetic purpose in life. :csad:
