I'm more concered with them coming up with a convoluted way to explain the speedsters having speed without the speedforce before it's eventual return.

im sure it will be fine, but i guess we will just have to wait till it comes out, but i am definatly lookin forward to it

Ok am not sure if this has been mentioned before but i didnt see it when looking thru the thread. But could the whole dont get too attached to the first flash u see mean jay? I mean from the first few pages we've seen. Jay is literally the first flash u see in this new series.

Just a thot, am new to the whole flash legacy but tried to read as much of it as possible on the net or otherwise.

I haven't been getting Flash, ever. I mostly don't care for him. He's in JL, which is fine. I'll enjoy him in that, thats fine.

Should I even bother getting this?

You should go back and buy Goeff John's run on the series and see why Flash f**king rocks.

Well, it's all collected in trades but it started with what? Flash 170? Yeah, I think 170 on up to the last issue before the relaunch which was like, 200 something. THe trades are Blood WIll Run, Rogues, Crossfire, Blitz, Ignition, The secret of Barry Allen, and Rogue War. All of which are grade A top notch stuff. Just start with "Blood will Run" and go from there.

...

I'll wait til the new #1 comes out and go from there.

Hey, I'm not crapping your idea (as many has done to mine). Its just that if I want to, I will later. If not, thats fine because new, current stuff is going to start once the new series starts.

I do not read DC, but have always loved Flash.

If I pick this up, on a scale of 1-10, how lost will I be??

I really want to get some Flash stuff....:(

When was the last time you read a Flash comic?

Here's the basis of what's happened:

During the big event, Infinate Crisis, most of the Flashes (the current Flash [Wally West], Kid Flash [Bart Allen], and Wally's wife and twin children) were sucked into the Speed Force, this energy that all the speedsters draw their power from, and then the Speed Force ceased to be.

Considering it's a relaunch, it should be accessible to everyone. If you're lost on something that happened between Infinite Crisis and the start of the new title, chances are so is everyone else. 52 will be explaining the missing year, so you should be in the same boat as everyone else as far as understanding everything.

Geez, I don't even remember. Not recently...:O

The Speed Force ceased to exist, so they are without powers? It is about him trying to get them back??

And now it seems Jay is the Flash we'd all recognize since Paul DeMeo and Danny Bilson revealed the hint last month, but toward the end of issue #1 is where it gets interesting. Also, PWN, you may want to check out 52.

Lashley's art is incredible by the way.

i'm suprised they didnt repace flash with a diffrent race

joking

Then how come Jay Garrick can still run fast? And whatever happened to Max Mercury and Jesse Quick? That's a bit unrelated I know but I'd like to know.

Max and Jesse are ion the speed force and Jay is metahuman. So he was always able to run fast.
