The world's a lot more culturally diverse than it used to be. Surnames don't necessarily trace a perfect bloodline back to the name's country of origin anymore. My friend's last name is McHale, but he has no clue whether he's part Irish or not because his dad was adopted.

My bad Lansing is MSU isn't it? Still normally any smaller campuses will most likely have the city added on (cases in point Montana State University - Billings; University of Texas - El Paso; etc) And since it only quotes it as UofM (if it even does, I don't remember seeing that) then he more likely went to Ann Arbor instead of Derborn.

It's interesting that when it comes to the part of the video where Carlos is doing his stand-up you can hear it and the crowd's reaction but during Rogan's set you couldn't hear what he said or the crowd's reaction. This video is biased as hell. It might as well be Fox News. And where did he get the Hortence name from? Yeah, Mencia's website is supposed to put him in a positive light...all artist webpages do...but it's also professionally done as everything so I doubt it would lie about his last name. And I'm not really going to put much stock in a video that's pro-Joe Rogan. I know this is just my opinion but I think it's shared by a ton of people...Joe Rogan is a tool. He's not funny. Fear Factor. The Man Show. Stupid and shallow. And besides, the video doesn't really say anything, which is ironically what they're accusing Carlos Mencia of doing. I do agree that Carlos has found a gimmick and ran with it, though. But you could say that about most comics, actually.

Mencia is easily the least funny guy on Comedy Central since they found the robot that was Adam Corolla. Christ, they couldn't make someone laugh if it was their job.
