Considering Batman, Superman, and most other major heroes' books have gone on for 40, 50, 60 years, 19 really doesn't seem like that long of a period of time.GoldenAgeHero said:wtf are you talking about, his book has gone on for 19 years go read some back issues.

That's my concern as well, but I've always felt, if Flash wasn't going to be Wally, who else could it have be? I'd much rather take a young Bart as Flash rather than Barry coming back or some time-traveling mumbo-jumbo involving Wally's kids.TheCorpulent1 said:Bart just doesn't feel right as the Flash to me. I know Wally wasn't much older than Bart when he became the Flash, but Wally was considerably more mature and responsible from side-kicking for all those years. Bart's been back in the past for what, like 3 years? 2? He's basically still a rookie.
Which is why he suggested reading back issues.Assassin said:maybe he has, but i recently discoverd him about a year ago, i havnet had enough, so screw you![]()

Although, Superboy Prime did mention that he was held captive for a long time in the Speed Force, so maybe Bart will come out aged to his early 20s or something.
Now that I know who the Flash will be and it's a monumental let-down, I'm more interested in these Speed Force people. Are they just going to be all the dead speedsters resurrected as avatars of speed energy or something? I wouldn't mind having Max Mercury and Johnny Quick back.![]()

Wally still has boatloads of story potential, for one. As long as he's still involved in the series somehow, I won't really mind, though. I'm a much bigger fan of Wally as a character than I am of Bart.BrianWilly said:I don't mind this at all.
Wally has a very logical and very well-written reason to not be the Flash anymore. Even at the end of his series he was slowly and inevitably backing out. And it's not like he's dead or anything.
Bart is still very immature, but he's been growing up and he wants this more than anyone; he wants this more than Tim wants to be Batman, more than Conner wanted to be Superman, and more than Cassie wants to be Wonder Woman. And he's earned it.
In terms of the narrative and storyline, this makes sense.
I mean, can anyone really think of a reason that they shouldn't happen other than "things shouldn't change?"
