Those religious groups always tell me to find Jesus, now I've found you!

Do I get a pot of gold or something?

Maybe just the pot?

Eh man I'm not that Jesus. I'm Jesus Rodriguez from Nazarath ST in East L.A. West Side Biotch. I could sell you a fat sack a pot. :)

How is it unlike him? Based on what I've read of him in Waid's Flash run, Johns' Flash run, and Teen Titans, he's always wanted to be part of the Flash legacy that his grandfather helped establish. Becoming Kid Flash was pretty much inevitable for him.

I remember his copy dying during OWAW. I don't see how it makes a difference for the knee-shot, though. Bart's copy dying was part of Superboy's traumatic realization that he wasn't quite leadership material. If anything, it'd probably just make Bart mad at Superboy for being so reckless; Bart himself was just following his orders. In the Teen Titans instance, he was reckless himself, which led to Deathstroke kicking his ass and shooting him in the knee. Without anyone else to blame, he's forced to re-examine himself, which leads to his getting tired of being the joke of the team and deciding to reinvent himself as Kid Flash, to give himself a new beginning. Outside of Bart not being as funny or goofy as he was in Young Justice and his early Flash appearances, I don't see anything wrong with Johns' characterization. Plus, Johns gave a convincing reason for why Bart isn't as goofy in TT.

quite?sorry to burst your bubble but conner was never leadership material.

It looks like Johns is finally trying to rectify that with the current arc, actually. I'm hoping it's good and actually features Hal confronting his deeds as Parallax rather than just shrugging them off and telling people the demon made him do it. Otherwise, I may just drop GL altogether. With Ion and the upcoming GLC ongoing, I don't really need a Hal-centric book.

at least we know you read. i can't wait for that arc. he's become a villain and the past GL's that he killed and left some for dead as aparralx are coming for him......oh yeah!! your pleased with ION? blah.i was ahuge fan of kyle until this point, so i wont be getting theion series i'll replace kyle with hal's book.

Yeah. That would be most crappy. Hell, were I to ever get a shot at writing Green Lantern, I'd just retcon away the whole fear demon thing and just say it was something he subconsciously conjured up as The Spectre to take away his guilt. Possibly influenced by an amped up Psycho Pirate to manipulate events so that The Spectre would become hosteless, and Alexander Luthor would be able to manipulate it.

Thats a really great idea. Funny that it'd be a retcon of a retcon......then what if someone retcons that and so on.....

Were you saying something? I realized a while ago that you have bad opinions on pretty much everything, so I've started mentally turning all your posts into white noise. :)

oh so thats how it is now? thats cool.

Oh, remember, according to the VS site, it's a "young" Bart who picks up the mantle... hopefully he's gotten faster...

The Question said:
It was too rushed. He made him change too quickly.
Heaven forbid that the Flashes ever do anything quickly:p.

That'd be about the only thing worse than Bart taking over, in my opinion. At least with Bart I can respect that they're continuing the trend of progression. Regression's usually not a good idea.

That's how it's been for a while, really. I'm just informing you of it now. :)

Why would he need to be faster? I thought he could hit light speed as easily as Wally, he just didn't know how to use his speed as effectively.

*sighs*:(

Well, you hate Superboy, you consider Superboy Prime a misunderstood hero, you love the idea of Bart as the Flash, you love having Ravager on the Titans, you think Red Tornado is lame and adamantly hold to the totally unfounded idea that he'll be rebuilt as Supernova... Come on now, with opinions like those it's hard not to ignore you. :p

The rest I can write off as a mere difference of opinions, but those two... Well, you know my current feelings on those. (Insert white noise here.)

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :eek::eek:

Holy ****, am I the only one who thinks this its cool? I can totally see Bart holding the mantle of The Flash, this is gonna be great!

I know some Hal/guy/john fans that might disagree with you.

A quick explanation of Vs. TCG teams, to answer the earlier confusion about Bart Allen being on the Speed Force team:

Teams aren't necessarily actual comic teams. Yes, there's the X-Men, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, the JLA, the Justice League: International, etc., however Vs. uses teams simply to group characters together. To facilitate this, oftentimes teams are invented for certain characters.

For example, Doctor Doom is not a member of any team in any comic. In the Vs. TCG, Doctor Doom is a character on the Doom team, a team consisting of Doom and characters that focus around having Doom in play (such as Boris, Doom-Bots, etc.). Superman is on three teams in the Vs. TCG, the JLA, the Gotham Knights, and Team Superman. The first two teams are self-evident, but Team Superman consists of different versions of Superman and characters from Superman's supporting cast (for instance, there are cards for every post-Crisis Supergirl (Linda Lee Danvers, Cir-El, and Kara Zor-El), and there are cards for almost every era of Superman (both Superman Red and Blue, Superman when he just returned in the Return of Superman, and standard post-Crisis Superman) on Team Superman).

The Speed Force team is not necessarily indicative that the Speed Force itself is back in the comics. The Speed Force team in the Vs. TCG is undoubtedly the team that will be comprised of the various Flashes (Wally, Barry, Jay, and now Bart) as well as their supporting cast (likely members will include Johnny and Jesse Quick, Max Mercury, and XS). So, the Speed Force will simply be a handy way of putting the DC super speedsters on one team.

And, Bart Allen as The Flash may be refering to when he was hyper aged by Klarion (Bum bum BUMMMMM) THE WITCH BOY in "Sins of Youth."
