I remember when wally first started out. He was a rich playboy and was very child like. Then he met Linda and started to go back to what made him who he was. Then he met some little hyper kid who just came out of a virtual reality world from the future. Then he became a man.

If bart truely is the next flash. In 5 years time he will become one heck of a mature hero. Its happened before, it will happen again.

you're right storyteller, I guess it's hard to seperate Wally's exploits from the pages of the Flash (Barry Allan series) to the Titans; and now to his own book.
I'll give it a try....but shudder in the hopes of getting the first issue. It's already sold out.

I considered that, but I still think Wally should've had more to his journey. Like I said earlier, though, if Wally and his family are at least involved with the story somehow, I'll be ok. Plus, if Bart has indeed aged in the Speed Force, it'll be better and it'll actually create some fun storytelling opportunities. Imagine his first post-aging meeting with Robin. "Weren't you like 15 ten minutes ago?"

I don't have a big problem with Bart being the Flash. I just hope that we see Wally in some capacity.

Well looking at DC's track record of Silver Age resurrections it would seem like they want people to believe it'll be Barry Allen.

The difference between Hal Jordan and Barry Allen is that Barry Allen got a good send-off and his fans mostly came to embrace Wally.

So, the Infinite Crisis set for the Vs. TCG recently released the card list, naming every character in the set.

There is a team called the Speed Force. That team, predictably, has a Flash. That Flash's identity?

Bart Allen.

Discuss.

Is it just me or is The Flash the only DC character who actualy grows I mean Batman and Supes kinda grow but they always seem the same age and it's always been them under the mask. Aquaman has grown a lot too since his seahorse riding days

I have to admit, you have a point...All the books of the Flash always seem to have a continuity theme. And that's what I love....cuz it show's depth in the character. Jay met Joan, had a relationship, and got married----
Barry met Iris, had a relationship, got married and after a while had kids. Twins...
Wally met Linda became friends first, then had a relationship, got married and had had kids...Twins..
The chromosomes that make twins possible must definately reside within the Wests family tree.

i never said he was misunderstood, just saying he's sympathetic character who has gobe off the deepend. i dont see anything wrong with bart becoming the flash,nor ravager being on the titans. red-tornado is lame!

Um Red tornado is not lame go read young justice or primal force. Oh and conner will be back adn better than ever...so there

I love bart he is one of my favorite characters however i do think he should have gotten more time as kid flash and to grow up with the others. Now we all new he would take the mantle before robin, superboy, and wondergirl were going to if ever take the mantle of their leads. But if it's a 18 or 19 year old bart i'll be ok. I don't think he'll stay flash long.

i dont think he is the new flash OYL. i read spoilers in the IC thread about IC #7

bart comes back fromthespeed force in issue 7, but towards the end he says he's retired becasue the speedforce is gone

since TT oyl said that bart retired its pretty much true, but since the flash preveiw said the speedforce is still gone, its pretty much left in the air as to who flash is gonna be OYL.

i also like that they didnt age him more than a few years older, so hes still in his late teens... he was the youngest titan anyway, now hes like 18-19... and Vic even said in Titans 35 that they are going to try to bring him back to the team...
