I don't mind who the flash is just don't keep the "flashes" top speed restricted to sound. That would hurt my feelings but, wouldn't surprise me becuase from what i've been seeing in GL,Glcorps it looks like everyone is getting somewhat of a depowering. Or at least in my eyes so maybe IC didn't just hurt the flash.

Keeping the Flash's top speed reduced to the speed of sound??? That is like watering down a piece of art.
Like enjoying Batman, but with the average intellegent of an idiot; letting Clark be Superman but with the power of super-hearing.
Mr. Terrific but without his amazing intelligence and abilities.
See what I mean? Superman is Superman BECAUSE he has all those abilities.

The whole concept of the Flash is to run past the speed of sound, and still be able to maintain his humanity while doing so.
They tried that with Wally, and to some, it didn't bode well. He was too much of a shadow of his old self...and it didn't seem right.
My opinion...leave the slow-turtle type speedsters to Marvel; and the FAST AS THE FLASH TYPES in DC.

The Flash maintaines the status of a hero by being able to accomplish impossible things and still balance the mundane tasks of keeping his personal life straight.

Agreed.... even though I can't think of a Marvel speedster that can even go the speed of sound. Quicksilver can almost do it right?

I don't get what Bart means by Barry's costume being the only thing that'd survive the trip back. It was just that ultra-compressable cloth, wasn't it? How was it in any way superior to Bart's own costume? If it were Wally's costume made of pure Speed Force energy, I could understand, but Barry's costume?

hhhmmmm perhaps Corpulent1 perhaps...I'll keep that in mind...Still once a Flash Fan....ALWAYS a Flash fan...
Can you give specific examples of what those speedsters can do that is not based on any of DCs speedsters tricks. (i.e. running over water...vibrating through solid objects...cutting guns with the use of their arms...etc..etc...???
I have a hard time enjoying Marvels speedsters stories, because to me they're always copying Flash.
I don't mean to be difficult...I want to be able to enjoy marvels speedsters too...just need to be properly educated. Hope you guys in the post doesn't mind. wish they had a flash icon like this one:

I wonder if Bart does become the new Flash if he will also be promoted to the JLA. The league would suck with no Flash

I agree with you on the importance of the Flash to the JLA; but first Impulse still has a lot of growing up to do...and sure in IC#7--we might see an older Bart who is no longer a kid or impulsive...but I would hesitate in bumping him up to the JLA with out first trying him out in other group dynamics to gauge if he is able work side by side with his partners.....given his experience in Young Justice and the Titans....I say he has enough experience...BUT he did disappear for how long from Bart's point of view, we don't know exactly how time passed for him....only that it must have passed because he's no longer a kid. And remember it was during the Titans Tomorrow that we learned that Bart and the others experienced some events that forever altered them, so we don't really know if this is the same Bart from IC#4--usually when someone is gone for a long time, they tend to change.
Just to be safe..it's better to try him out first in another group first before entering the JLA.
Remember the JLA is supposed to be the top notch...the best of the best...the greatest out of the great...you can't throw someone in there just because it will complete the look of the group and it will look nice for the covers and wallpapers on your mobiles and PCs.
It's how well is able to establish CHEMISTRY with the others.

I want Wally back too, but if Bart takes over, I'll support it. It's up to DC to make me like Bart as Flash. They did it for Wally, hopefully after these nobodies get booted off the book Mark Waid will come on again and give us a reason to love Bart Allen as Flash.

I really, really don't want Bart to be the main Flash :x

i'm still not positive that he will be. he used up the remaining speedforce in his body by coming back at the end of the crisis and in issue #36 of the outsiders

we find out that jay garrick has been de-aged back to his late 20's/early 30's. i think he's going to take over as the main flash and wear the red costume.
