So far

BATS : OYL
SUPS : OYL
are the best .

And the first issue for WW is pretty good too .

So I agree The Flash : OYL is very big let down.

I really liked this issue its good to see the producers of the old show writing it. Well i guess im going to keep buying it.

You asked for it-the quick version
It begins with Jay Garrick stopping a truck accident and claiming to be the "Fastest Man Alive". Of course, the speed force is gone and he can't rely on it to help him anymore.
Bart is working at an auto factory and has aged 4yrs making him 20. He's still trying to adapt to life as a young adult and has nightmares about what happened. He appears to be powerless.
A scientist from STAR LABS locates bart and questions why he's not coming to the lab anymore and he basicaly tells her he's powerless and has suffered enough loss, so leave him be.
An accident(?) happens at the auto factory and Bart's roomate is trapped.
Big reveal: Bart tries to tap into the speed force, but doesn't have control of it, revealing he still has powers, but is afraid to use them. Jay Garrick finds out and says " We need to talk."
I don't see how this reveal can be confusing. For someone who only knows the basic Flash history and most of DC current history, it was easy for me to understand what was going on and i think it set-ups for a good story. Certainly not better than Supes or Bats OYL, but way better than WW OYL.

As much as I want this to be Wally & Linda, I know it isn't them. It's Bart & The the intern at S.T.A.R. labs chick. :o

Hmmm... Not sure how I feel about this.
Me either. I didn't see anything that concretely means Bart is the new Flash, though I'm fairly certain he will be by the end of this arc. More than anything else, though, I want to see what happened to Wally and his family. The fact that there's nothing but a passing mention of them in this issue is the biggest disappointment I have with it.

Also, Wally = Bart's "best friend"? When did that happen? When did Bart suddenly develop a love of cars? Wasn't that Wally's territory? Bart's buddy Griffin is such an ass that I was hoping he died at the end, too. Lashley's art was pretty dodgy. Great when it looked like he really put some time into it but pretty awful in other parts.

So yeah, the new Flash is a bit of a mixed bag one issue in. I'll give it either an arc or however long it takes to see what actually happened to Wally to see how it goes.

I hate Griffin, he's such an ******* . It looks' like Griff is going to get Super powers of his own .

THE FLASH: FASTEST MAN ALIVE #3
Griff gets doused in glowing green chemicals and electricty before Jay can save him.-[issue # 1]

Best. First. Issue. Ever.

I wish I could have said the same, but I thought it was rather bland.

The art was mediocre at best, and the pacing was dull as dishwater.

:(

I suppose that could be Griffin. He totally stole Kobra's look, though. Just one more reason to hate him, I guess.

I wont get this issue til maybe Saturday so, whats the general consensus so far. Slipalong saved me from killing myself after that lets worship Barry preview, I need help.

Killing yourself's a bit much, isn't it?

I completely agree about the pacing. It starts with Jay narrating to Bart about how 3 Flashes came before him, but then it only gives us Jay's story and Barry's story. What, did everyone just forget about Wally completely? If you're gonna do the legacy flashback, follow through all the way, damn it. The two pages of useless trash with Griffin and Bart at the bar could've been Barry's story and Wally's story could've been near the end. Lame.

Besides being a scab and liking it, he's a pretty cool dude. Sort of like a comic version of Stifler (from American Pie). If he continues to use his powers for good, i could see him joining the outsiders and learning how to control his powers. That's if he doesn't get killed from not knowing how to use his powers 1st.

Yeah, I hated him too.

I hope Wally retruns as THE FLASH , by the end of this arc . {just like Diana will return as WONDER WOMAN .}

If that happens, what will become of Bart. He's too old to still be Kid Flash anymore.

Story was meh.
Art was distracting. What's with the dark shading on the side of everyone's faces? Not sure if that's inker or penciler's fault, but it makes for a distracting read.
Reveal at the end was pretty whoa but I thought it was more of...
Bart somehow IS the speed force or is containing it in his body somehow. He can let it out, but he can't control it. When he tried to pour on the speed, the release of the speed force blew him through a wall.

Maybe that's not it. I've only done one read-through.

Yeah that's what i gathered from reading it too.
Bart has somehow become the keeper of the speed force, but doesn't know how to use it or it's too powerful for him to control.
I think this is where Jay Garrick steps in to become a mentor throughout the book. I think it's a good set-up

i thought you would come up with the answers yourself. i think wally and bart spent time together while they were in the speed force. thats the only explanation for it.

anyways, this was a great issue.bart as the new flash is awesome. i was the first to call the whole speed force taking on a physical form, never knew it would be bart. the art was great. although they need to tone down the shading a bit. as for wally and the twins,my guess is they are still in the speed force and until bart can master it he can then use it to bring them back.....maybe. i dont see how this is a dissapointment, it's only the first issue so relax.

Issue was confusin' as hell. Hopefully th' rest are more linear.
