I am glad
Bart
is the new Flash I just wish Conner was arond to grow as much as his friends are about to. But I now understand why Bart won't be a Titan anymore. Another reason why I am very close to dropping the book.

I hope by the end of this story arc , Wally Returns to Keystone as The Scarlet Speedster.

Am I going to be the only one who will say this issue outright sucked? It sucked. I've never read a Flash comic before. This was confusing to new readers. Also, I'm pretty sure the writing team does not know how to write. The transitions between scenes, especially scenes into, what, Barry's perspective? I guess? Those were pretty weak. Why does Jay say the speed force is gone at the start of the issue, and then Bart talks about it like it's still around? He never really acknowledges that it's gone, he's like, it can't be tapped again. Okay. Then he just up and uses it at the end. It was stupid.

Why bother covering up the new Flashs name when the rest of your post gives it away indirectly?

Why didnt Binker just start this thread instead of starting the toher thread about issue #1 first and then deciding to start this one, its like the same discussion is going on in both threads. Im confused.

i thought you would come up with the answers yourself. i think wally and bart spent time together while they were in the speed force. thats the only explanation for it.
Except that that explanation makes no sense whatsoever because we know Wally, Linda, and the kids didn't end up in the Speed Force already. They went somewhere else, and all Bart's said so far is that they're "gone."

I think DC is purposefully trying to ruin every member of the Teen Titans. Wally, Dick, Garth, Roy, Donna. They didnt get their kicks by killing off Giffen and DeMatteis Justice League now theyre refocusing their energy on the Teen Titans.

It's totally a conspiracy. :(

Yeah, that was kind of odd. "The Speed Force can never be tapped again," Bart says... while he's tapping it. Uh... what? The transitions and pacing were pretty bad, too. I think I may have mentioned that before. But it's only the first issue and I'm almost as much a Flash fan as I am a Wally fan, so I'll give it some more time before I admit that it sucks.

This is what happens when you have bad tv show writers writing comics.

I will probably pick up the next ish, see if these idiots can turn their crap book around. Of DC #1's, I much preferred Wonder Woman, and I'd never read a comic of hers before either. Seriously though, was the art even that good in Flash? The first few pages with Jay looked good and then with the Bart/*****ey blonde guy stuff just looked crappy to me. Maybe it was because I was hating what I was reading so much, that bias leaked to the art.

maybe that's why I liked Wonder Woman, because The OC is a guilty pleasure:( I even liked season 2 better than season 1 and I'm going to be watching season 3 on DVD:(:(:(

Man, thats terrible.:(

Either way. I dont know what DC was thinking. Yeah the guys who wrote that Flash tv show from like 10 years ago that was cancelled are the perfect guys to write this comic.

Yeah no kidding. I guess some title has to suffer from the fact that DC's big guns can't write every single book, looks like it's Flash

Corpy... excellent sig. Nice to see some love for an awesome series.

Anyway. I honestly thought it was a decent first issue. Particularly because i often feel like a 16 year old trapped in a 20 year old body who doesn't feel comfortable in clubs and such. :D
My favourite parts were Jay and Barry's monologues.

My least favourite part, Griffin. Ugh. Could that guy be more annoying!? :(

And Nightwing.:(

i wouldn't know, i would rather kill myself than pick up nightwing, even if it was the undisputed best-written book on the racks

Why is that?

Because I hate sidekicks. I wish there were never a Superboy, girl, etc. Batgirl, Robin, etc. Plus I've always been predisposed to Marvel comics. I do love me some Supes and Bats when done right:o

Hmmmm but you pick up Flash.

I wish I could have said the same, but I thought it was rather bland.

The art was mediocre at best, and the pacing was dull as dishwater.

:(
Did you get it at Mad City Comics or Gamezilla? 'Cuz when I went to Mad City they didn't have it. :(

Did you like the Wally West version of the Flash? If you did, then you just contradicted yourself. Wally was just as much of a 'sidekick' as Nightwing is. They both started out that way and both of them have grown beyond the sidekick status.

i think the best friend they were reffering to losing was conner not wally

I've been watching all the episodes lately between work and video games. It's as much fun as it was the first time around, and the banter between Hobbes and Darien is still hilarious. :D
