I say go with Captain Cold for the first Movie, then his rogues Gallery United and The Zoom or the Black Flash.

I dont know much on flash which guy whould be consider his main Arch villain. Who ever that is i think should get first crack in being film's villain.

I would love to see some actual lightning around him when he runs, i think it would be visually compelling, something akin to the cover of the upcoming flash rebirth.

Same here, guys. And Zoom is also referred to as The Reverse Fash. I say Mirror Master for the first film's villain. He's powerful enough to negate the Flash's abilities and be a credible threat for a whole movie, probably the Sam Scudder version, he could lead the Rogues back in the day just as well as Capt Cold, matter of fact he did and was considered to be the Flash's arch-nemesis during the Silver Age (he and Cold would always be butting heads). I think McCulloch could work but he seems like more of a "follower" to me and is too funny, what with the accent and all. Check out the episode of JLU "Flash and Substance", where the Rogues teamup with Scudder in the lead to take down the Flash, note how controlling MM is.

Don't know if you've heard about it already, or not but Geoff Johns said that he would love the write The Flash. I think he would be a perfect choice for that movie. Hell yes. We seriously need a Flash movie soon.

i heard about that but since their has been reports in the last yr or so that a bunch of dc writers tried to pitch scripts for some dc slated films and they all pretty much been rejected which sucks. Wb should seriously either let some dc writers help with the scripts or atless be apart of the film in some form.

Agreed.

They hire experts for every other field for their movies. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.

I think it's perfectly possible to use both Mirror Master and Captain Cold in the first film. Neither of them have extrememly complex origins that need telling. It would be very fun, which is what a Flash movie should be: very fun. Upping the ante like that would be a great way to start a franchise.

For some projects, not all. I don't recall any comic writers being asked to consult the live action WW movie or the now canceled JLA movie.

Really? When did he say this (link?)? If true, that would be totally awesome!!!! I can't think of anyone better for the job. He'd handle everything perfectly. Barry, Wally, Jay, Bart, the Rogues, all of it. I heard Grant Morrison was involved with it in some way, I'd be cool if he did it too, he's also a huge Flash/Barry Allen fan.

Totally agree. Hell, I'd love to see a flick with like 5 of the Rogues in it (and they all don't have to have major parts), I was just saying if they had to narrow it down to only one then MM, IMO, is probably the best way to go. And The Flash should definitely be a fun/cool film, like the comic always was. I still think this would make a great poster (poster is for Flash: Rebirth, FYI ):

Onto casting, I'd be fine if Rachael McAdams played Iris West. She's even worked with Ryan Gosling before so it's even cooler if he plays Barry Allen/The Flash.

I think the flash has some of the best comic covers which would make great posters. In terms of who there going to use, something tells me its going to be barry allen with his reintroduction to comics. His origin would be a heck of a lot easier to tell and once again bring in that whole CSI angle which is very popular. I think thats why theyve had such a hard time with the flash because they really dont know which character to use. If they do use barry I can see them bringing in elements of Wally's personality in there.

i still say it is alot easier to start off with barry and then lead into wally at a later point and all that. Since barry's origin is such a nice and easy origin to start off with.

we have no clue really since its stuck in developmental hell like ww is and has been for so long. But since they are now going for solo films over the jla film that got film. It think its a good chance its likely to be barry since as i said before his origin is more more clear cut and easy to tranlation then doing wally were you have to massively change things or like jl/jlu did and merge the two characters a bit. Since the gl film which looks close to be happening is hal, they should give barry the first live action film spot to him.

I think if they make a Flash movie they are gonna use Barry Allen since he's returning in in next year's Flash: Rebirth.

yea since the gl film that is so close to be happening will be hal they should start with barry. Like i said a few times its alot easy to start with barry and lead to wally in future sequels then starting with wally and have to do major rewrites to the character's origins.
