Cool. It's always interesting to meet someone who isn't aware of Barry's death 9the fgreatest death in comics, IMO). Allow me to enlighten you with some pictures, these are from my very first comic, which was a Secret Origins Annual #2 (published in 1988) which featured an epic retelling of Barry's death from his point of view:

Anyway, it's an awesome story, one of my personal fave Flash stories. This is just the end to the story - there's more to it but what I posted just shows his *death*. Hope that helped (I'll explain it if you couldn't see it clearly or didn't understand it (hope you could tho)).

Though for me and comics i am a marvel guy more then dc. Spidey's my fav(though i know many dont like the current status quo in asm i like most of it but wish the who marriage/secret identity thing was done in a different matter).

I've always loved Flash's costume. It's so slick.

The one in the DC vs. MK game looked great! I'd love tosee that on-screen. There was some neat detail in that costume.

Me too, but there is a "loophole" left in that story that would make his returne more plausible than most. He became "energy" or 'lightning" by going hundreds of times faster than the speed of light, perhaps becoming the bolt that hit himself at the end of the story set during the first Crisis (would be awesome to see on film!). They could always go back to that. Altho in Final Crisis, he materialized and was chasing a "bullet" thru time being trailed by death incarnate, the Black Racer, when he first showed up in Final Crisis (he technically materializes in DC Universe #0, he's narrating the book and seems very well aware of the current going ons in the DCU). I can't wait for the full explanation, altho I'm just happy he's back, I don't care what the reason lol. (Final Crisis # 6 & 7 are on sale this month!!! )

Same here, lol. I think most the people posting/voting are only familiar with The Flash via the JL/JLU cartoon - they miss so much. (Obviously cuz that's the version that's got the most exposure in recent years )

Yeah, Carmine Infantino is a genius. He created one of the BEST costumes of all time, IMO. It's timeless, which is why it hasn't changed (much). His only inspiration was the original Captain Marvel suit (hence the red and gold color scheme).

I disliked the big gay armbands and gloves. They were trying to "improve" on an already perfect and cool design, IMO, and made it less sleak and streamlined looking. Flash's suit is simplistic but so cool.

The MK suit was something different. I wouldn't say it was bad looking. But the original is still probably the best

I'd say 24 if it's an origin as I hope. That's exactly how old he was when he got his powers. He was only a forensic scientist for the Central City police for a few months when he got super speed. They could play up his inexperience when he becomes Flash - he out of all the Flashes, was most inexperienced when he became Flash. He wasn't a kid when he became a superhero like Wally or born with his powers like Bart. That's part of what I think makes him unique and should be played up in the movie. And it will be cool to see him come up with the suit. I hope they play up that he likes comics as well (maybe he's a bit of a geek?).
