i just brought up a dude like him up because if they are aiming for a director who is good with action and comedic elements/ tone, he could be a candidate. Is he ideal? no. but is he a promising young filmmaker? yes.

Has anybody suggested a blond-dyed Paul Rudd for the part of Barry? I can see it working in my head, my vote will always be for Neil Patrick Harris but I can see Rudd too.

yea he is a decent actor like his work, no clue how i would feel about him for barry, but a good pick.

paul rudd would be the most off beat choice ever, if they ever picked him. not sure about barry, but out of the Apatow gang, he seems to be the one who's the 'leading man type' if put into the right movie (not just rom com).

umm why would they use a tv show theme to be theme for when ever flash does get his big film? i could see it maybe being thrown in there in some fashion maybe barry/wally(who ever it will be) ring tone on cell or something.

as much as i liked Christian Slater when he was young, for some reason, he turns me off now as an actor. I think it's because he's one of those 'missed opportunity' actors.

I think if you go the Infinite Crisis version of the character he'd work great. fat, sloppy, off his game, trying to make a comeback.

well alot of flash's rouges are on the sillier side arent they look at captain boomerage/captain cold/trickster for example. I am sure they would be changed up slightly for a film series if/when flash does make it onto the big screen.

Interesting. I wouldn't have included Captain Cold in that category.

While it is almost assured that characters from the Flash universe may need some tweaking for film, certain characters such as Captain Boomerang just don't seem suitable for film unless they are used as comic relief.

i think that's the whole angle with Flash's rogues; they are silly but there's a self awareness of their absurdity. If the movie can make that clear, then characters like Captain Cold and whomever can keep their silly costumes and such. To me, they're kinda charming..very Silver/Golden Age.
