Jay, Barry and Wally should all feature in all the films. Why they would do anything else is beyond me.
I 100% agree. Thats why I thought starting with Wally was the best idea because you can't have Wally w/o having Barry or Jay and then Bart could be introduced. Now, we'll be lucky to get one of them

Why does every fancast nominate Matthew Fox for Barry Allen? Seriously. It's like they saw a muscular guy and thought "Hm. He looks like a superhero but doesn't fit the bill for Superman, Batman or Spider-Man so I'll just cast him in a role of a character I know nothing about."
^Thank you sir. I SERIOUSLY applaud you for that. He doesn't fit Barry AT ALL. Maybe an older Superman but not Flash.
amen. I like Matthew but it's kinda random when people want him to be Barry.
Thank you. He's so bad for the role. He's not charismatic, he doesn't even look like Barry. I like him as an actor, but not for Barry.
And Ive said this about JGL too. Do people know how weird it would look changing LEvitt or Fox from black to blonde hair?

I really think that Ryan McPartlin from Chuck would be a perfect fit for Barry Allen/Flash. Has the look and the personality.

From what I gather of Bertlani's comments, the movie will be very much influenced by Geoff Johns' run. While Johns didn't make The Flash a dark character, he made Keystone City and The Rogues darker and grittier. You should look up the "Rogues profile" issues.

Does the name Murmur ring any bells? on paper, the character sounds like a character straight out of Seven, and he's from the comics.

think we will get big name since Reynolds and Bale are super heroes for DC?

I do think that they will go after a big name... even though someone like McPartlin (known but not too known) would be perfect IMO.

I still think that they'll pursue Jake Gyllenhaal.

I saw the Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode with all 3 Flashes. I really liked that episode. We definitely need either an animated movie or live action film. Preferably both.

Or an animated series.

the more i see ryan gosling, the more i like him for barry allen.

i know he doesn't look like his comic counterpart, but there is something about him which i would like to see in this role

Both 'The Flash' And 'Green Lantern 2' Scripts Coming In To Warner Bros By Xmas

EXCLUSIVE:
I've just learned that the latest script for the Dc Comics character The Flash will be handed into Warner Bros between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green are writing the draft, and Greg Berlanti did the story with them. No word on who'll direct The Flash yet, but I can tell you it's doubtful it'll be Berlanti, even though his very different Life As We Know It came in #2 at the box office for the studio this weekend. And his freshman TV superpowers series No Ordinary Family is now ABC's most promising new drama, doing respectable business as a self-starter in one of the most competitive time slots. "He won't want to direct it because he kinda wants to do something in between size-wise first before attempting something that large," an insider tells me. On the other hand, "If Warner Bros does like the script and wants him to direct it... But that's a lot of ifs. And all of it is moot if they don't dig the script. Green Lantern wasn't real until the studio liked the draft." Speaking of Green Lantern, all 3 scribes worked on that superhero pic which director Martin Campbell is right now editing. And I hear the film shaping up is "jaw-dropping".) My source says, "They're working round the clock on that now. Also, the three of them are working on the treatment for the sequel to the Green Lantern at the same time. All of which will be in by Christmas."

sounds good. I knew that Berlanti wouldn't be able to step it up. But if Mission Impossilbe 4 is remotely good, I think Brad Bird can deliever..

From Cinema Blend:
Bradley Cooper May Play The Flash
Greg Berlanti Not Attached To Direct The Flash, Script Due Before Christmas

From Moviehole:
Warner will have The Flash by Christmas
Clint Morris said:
Very early days but, I've heard Bradley Cooper, who of course was the runner-up for the role of Hal Jordan in DC's "Green Lantern", is the favourite to wiggle his way into the cherry tights. Warner Bros loves them some Cooper, and DC is very keen to have Cooper be 'part of the family', so don't be surprised to hear the "Hangover" star's name mentioned in relation to the role when the shortlist is inevitably leaked. (Personally, I don't mind the idea of Adam Brody - who was attached to play the speedy superhero in the ill-fated "Justice League" flick).

^ that's what i am talking about DC going after big names which Bradley Cooper is

while Reynolds would fit wally west cooper fits Barry Allen

I don't really trust Moviehole or Clint. Anytime he has a scoop or rumor, it's never proven to be true.

You know..it's never gonna happen because his career has been wonky (for some odd reason) but I think Ryan Phillppe would be a good Barry.

The problem is that Ryan's just like piper perabo, Stuart Townsend, or Gretchen Mol; an actor/actress who was considered 'it' when they first started but never lived up to their potential.

Nothing that Cooper has ever acted in made me think that he could be Barry

Oliver Queen on the other hand? Hell yeah.

So many things that Reynolds done has set him up for how Hal is in teh script
