Its too bad we won't be seing new pictures like this anymore. Since Marvel decided to ruin Gambit and literally cut off his dick in recent comics. Marvel writers are very very wierd people.

It is weird how they managed to completely ruin a character with so much potential. I think they really didn't know what to do with him after having him joined at the hip with Rogue all this time. They should have put him on another team.

I really like the idea from a few years back of making him a team leader (and Rogue the other team's leader). It had a lot of potential for good stories, but they abandoned it VERY quickly. I just thought he made a very good leader...he was obviously charismatic, and he knew what he was doing. Also, the fact they had to trust him despite his past was very interesting. Also, Rogue was leading a different team, which separated them, but would have also brought them together when the two groups met.

I don't know, I just agree that what is happening now with Gambit is a bunch of nonsense. He really did have so much incredible potential. Now, he's a mindless freak bent on killing people?!?! Ugh. Maybe at least now they'll bring him back as the suave, charming, yet secretive acrobat we've come to know and love. I think there would be a way to explain it because of his recent transformation. I just hope they handle it the right way and bring him back as Gambit, and not someone resembling Gambit!

I agree with you Renegade on both counts. He did make a good team leader and I am not quite sure why that was dropped. I would also like to se him coem back, I just hope they don't make us wait a really long time. :(

When i read he became Death, i wanted to hit the monitor... Man, it sucked!!!

I also think that he will get back to his relationship with Rogue sometime in the future, after going through tragedies, quarrels and stuff like these

Plus i find the picture of their first kiss in Israel their best...The emotions are so well depicted!

I actually prefer that he's gone out of it for the moment, however long it will be because I feel unless he can be done well and like the good old days, I'd prefer him to not be in the comics at all really. He needs to be brought back in with a writer who wants to write him, and can write him well.
As for my favorite Gambit stuff, the Wolverine & Gambit Victims was pretty damn good, as well as the first volume of his mini series, some Uncanny stuff was cool too; around 350.

I'm pretty glad Gambit is out of the picture right now, because I was not liking his plot as Death and Rogue was not herselft when he was around as one of the Horsemen.

And I agree with Balian, bring him back when some writer does him justice and doesn't have him around without doing anything.

Victims was one of my favorite minis, too. I didn't know it at the time I first read it but my favorite artistic team of Loeb/Sale did that book. It's a must have for any Wolverine or Gambit fan. :)

One of my favorite pages:

Yeah, that was funny. Loeb wrote him pretty well.

His power's true potential, though permanently excised now, is to control all manner of kinetic energy, allowing him to fire energy blasts, defy gravity, and effectively exist as energy, thus, making him an Omega at this power level.
Is this true? If so, can someone give me a description of what stuff he has done with his powers?

That is just too much. His powers are fine the way they are.

I agree, if he had all those powers, for me he'd lose a little of his appeal.

I have to agree. It seems more or less that the writers who are writing him don't like Gambit but are using him because they like Rogue, which is just plain stupid. I've been actually less annoyed since Gambits been out of the x-men teams. As for favorite Gambit comics.......x-men chronicles 2, x-men #33, Gambits series under Layman, and any comic with him by Howard Mackie

Gambit was a great character, its true that new writers have rammed him into the ground.I dont see how he can recover now.

He can recover with a good writer, one who writes him as the charmer we know he can be, not as the love sick puppy of recent years.

Oh I see. I was browsing on wiki (the lie site, lol) and ran across that. He is a pretty interesting and amusing character...I just started to actually see that 4 some reason ( ). Anyway, I see what you mean.

So what exactly happened to him in adjectiveless X-men after he became a horsemen. Last thing i read was that he was fighting the X-men in Apocalypse's sfinx.

From what I know, Gambit and Sunfire went off with Sinister, and that's the latest.

Thank you mr. Milligan, for getting rid of my favourite character.
