Really? I always think of him as a lot older than the rest of the original five, probably because he has a scary IQ, I forgot that him was a teenage boy at that time as well.

I agree, even though I know it's choronolgically impossible, but Beast has always seemed much older than the rest.

I've always thought Gambit should be the same age as Cyclops, though. I hate that he's been written as if he's gotten progressively younger as time went on because of Romy.

I don't know, man.

Those Scott/Hank interactions we've had over the past few years (NXM, AXM) do feel like two guys on the same wave length when it comes to maturity/age.

And yes, this is me still laughing my a$$ off at the "But you're not gay." scene from NXM. :woot:

Beast doesn't act his age though. His best friend is freakin' Iceman after all!

So, what, that would be Cyke acting older than his age, Hank acting younger and the two meeting somewhere in-between? :woot:

Well, Scott *does* have that stick up his ass. I'd say they meet somewhere in the middle.

Eh. Still can't believe why Hank would be best friends with Bobby. Hell, I still haven't figured out why Scott, Warren and Hank didn't just strangle him after two weeks flat. Oh, right, being good guys. :wow:

Could you imagine how it would've played out had Remy been one of the original five? Bobby would've stopped with the jokes a looooonnng time ago. :woot:

Prolly would've pushed him out the X-jet in-route to their first fight with Magneto. :woot:

I see Remy as younger than Scott, I always have. I peg him around 25 or so where Scott is maybe 32-35 to me, him having been married and being with Emma and all that.

Me. My first exposure to the comic character was the Claremont/Lee stuff and he came off as being older than most of the X-men.

Well, Cyke isn't most of the X-men.

You'd think the stick up the a$$ would be an indicator. :woot:

I thought they were the same age, both slightly older than the rest except for Beast, Xavier, and Storm.

Is Storm actually older than Cyke??? Or are we talking 1-2 years at best?

Never pegged her to be really older than *him*. Just older than every other ladies in the team.

I've always pegged her as, and there's really no basis for this belief, the same age as Beast.

Damn comicbooks and their cryptic timelines.

Just, what, I'm supposed to assume DPS Cyke is in early 20s or something??? :woot:

Ages are best left unmentioned in comics. It just never works out.

Theres an explanation for all that. Time in the Marvel U stopped really advancing right about the time Franklin Richards was born. Coincidence? I think not!

God I hate kids and teens in comic books. :woot:

Good thing Remy never even was close, eh?

Edit: Does anyone actually LIKE Franklin Richards anyway??

Can't stand em in RL either.

He's gotten close with how they kinda "de-aged" him and that High School-esque romance with Rogue.

Kinda hard for him to come off as sympathetic: He's surrounded by a loving family, his dad can create toys even Bill Gate's kids can't hope to have, he's got the power of a demi-god, and he got to see Sue's mammaries on a regular basis as a baby!

When exactly in history are we talking about??? Never pegged him coming off as younger than, let's say, 22-23...

Huh. Did see right through me about the Sue part, eh? :woot:

But seriously, it's the Omega brat angle that annoys me the most. Reeks so much of 'chosen one from birth'. This isn't a japanese RPG, damnit. :woot:

Lobdell was the big one; his Gambit was an impulsive whelp who was in way of his head most of the time and gravely inexperienced.

Ooof. Don't make it much a point to actively remember every detail of the 90s' x-verse. :wow:

His work was right in the mid-90s, if I remember correctly??

Mmm. Come to think of it, yeah, Gumbo wasn't exactly at his best back then, now was he?
