at least his fans had those solos to look forward too, bc the X-men books havent been kind to him. CC at least got him and its a shame that he lost him when he took over UXM bc the Austen/Milligan combo was a killer for him

It was a real 1-2 punch for the guy.

More like being corpse-f***ed, but, sure, I'll go with the family-friendly analogies. :woot:

He did put in a few cool appearances in Logan's book. BTW, I had Carey confirm which book Gambit shows up in. It'll be issue 41 or 42 of Cable&Deadpool.
You posted this on another board but I am repeating it here for the benefit of others and I'll repeat my response to it as well in the hopes that I get your answer somewhere -- Can you be any more specific? I don't get this title normally (it got too political so I dropped it). I don't want to buy two issues if he's only going to be in one.

You're a very eloquent speaker, Darth.

What can I say, the sucker punch/kick/b**ch slap analogy just isn't strong when it comes to Gambit's fate. Bad characterization would qualify as the aforementioned. Gambit had it a bit worse. :woot:

Figured fhe analogy was rather appropriate, what with him becoming DEATH. That, and I'm fairly that had I pitched that *story* to Joe Q a while back, not only he would've have hired me, but he probably would've given me a bloody medal or something. :wow:

I love both Gambit and Rogue. Rogue couldn't have been thinking straight when she left Gambit in Antarctica. I can't remember the exact fan site, but it said that the other X-Men are to blame for leaving him. Storm is the closest to a best friend Gambit has, so it's no insult to mention her in the same sentence. I love Gambit and Rogue both so much that I can't help but mention them in the same posts. Please excuse me for that. I can't prove it for some people, but Gambit and Rogue were meant to be.

Remy didn't know the Marauders were going to kill the Morlocks. The Marauders were Sinister's henchman. Gambit gathered them together and led them to the tunnels to pay back a debt to Sinister for performing brain surgery to help control his out-of-control powers. When he realized what was happening, he tried his dangest to stop it even though he could only save little Marrow. Remy has tried every moment since then to redeem himself. Gambit's not really a bad guy, he's just tragically flawed. But he can overcome it to be the hero he should be.

Gambit and Rogue are both excellent characters just like all the other favs. That's it for me.

Gambit and Deadpool in the same book!?

*faints*

Sorry, but Carey didn't know which issue it would be, only that Gambit would very likely show up at one point because the C&DP arc replays a scene that includes him from #200. I'll keep my eyes open for him when CDP 41 hits the shelves and let you know if he pops up.

I think Gambit and Deadpool would be an awesome team up.

They should put Gambit, Cable, Deadpool, and Bishop into a single book!

I think Gambit in his normal state would really GET Deadpool since they both use humor to distract their oponents. It would be a one-liner frenzy. :)

Ypu're right; they both love to talk during a fight, but don't really care if their opponant is talking back to them. I could imagine someone stumbling unto fight between the two of them to see Deadpool chattering about his collection of Bea Author porn and at the same time find Gambit in the middle of a diatribe about why Picard was better than Kirk (being a Trekkie and all). :woot:

Id rather Cable go solo. I cant read C&D bc while I love Cable, I cant stand Deadpool
I have the opposite problem. Thre's just a little too much Cable in this book. I'd rather read a Deadpool siolo. :)

If the rumor mill is correct, you may be getting your wish after the crossover.
yeah I read about that and hope its true. To me, Cable and DP is like what a Gambit and Rogue series might be for you. Love one character but why do they have to be stuck in a series with one that I absolutely cant stand

Cable holds enough weight for his own book.
Plus, Carey has drove me closer to liking him.
To be honest I don't even know how he can star alongside Deadpool.
I really can't see those two together.

me either which is why I stay away. They seem like such a mismatch

That is why i love Gambit and like Deadpool. I love Gambit's way of fighting. Crackig jokes, hitting on women, irritating enemies, not many characters do that.

So what do you all think Gambit's involvement will be with the Marauders?

*clicks and saves* :D

I think he will be leading them-- for now. With a change of heart later I hope.

LOL.

Yeah I think so too. But i'm also wondering if he's on their side as a trick. And than later will go back to the X-men.

It think it's would be a cool thing for him to do.
