I think he will. In an interview with Carey, he said there's a lot of good things planned for Gambit. So I think he's in for a good return.

I really have a hunch he is undercover for the X-Men. I don't think Marvel will make him betray the team once more. That would be unforgivable...well at least for me. It's not like the team is looking for anymore untrustworthy members. Mystique and Sabretooth and hell even Lady are already competing for that spot.

I don't think he'll be leading them. His return strikes me as something apart from the main story of the crossover, something tacked on after the fact. I think Cable, or Emma will be the leader since the crossover will revolve around that character, with Gambit's return happening on the sidelines.

I don't think Gambit's return is on the sidelines. From the preview write-up, it seems that he's the center of the story. I want Remy to have an important part and not be an add on to someone else's story. Carey has been saying he'll bring Gambit back since he started writing the series. I don't think that this whole leading the Marauders thing is what it seems. The Apocalypse thing wasn't actually a betrayal, Gambit was trying to protect the X-Men, not betray them. If he hadn't agreed to be a Horseman, then someone else would have been kidnapped and forcibly transformed.

I'm for making and keeping Gambit (and Rogue) as important characters.

Exactly. He should have a different goal than the xmen and the marauders. The joining the enemy thing is a bit played out. Especially when Gambit does it. It's too obvious.

I think Carey knows it too, but is going about it anyway simply to get the BoA crap swept under the rug.

Haven't picked up an X-men issue in ages. This big event coming up has caught my interest. Especially with all the talk of Gambit returning and being an important figure through out.

When does this storyline begin? In what X-title?

In two weeks, he returns to the books in issue 200 of Adjectiveless. The storyline runs from 200-203. Then from issue 205-207, there will be a crossover in which he plays a part. Issue 200 also has the first of the Endangered Species backup stories that can be also found in Uncanny, maybe Astonishing, X-factor, and New X-men which will be in their issues until the crossover starts..

That one shot is divided into the back-up stories IIRC. Issue 204 of Adjectiveless is supposed to be a single, self-contained story though.

Well if he appears I'd imagine it'd be part of a carry over with X-Men... So whether or not he'll see Deadpool personally is questionable, I guess.
