The more I think about it, the more it sounds like a "Oh, but he HAD a plan. Just a really really f****n stupid one" scenario.

I like to say he had a plan, he just made a miscalculation. The miscalculation being the whole "brainwashing" part.

Either way, I'd love for him to be a double agent and STILL take the time to seriously bash some X-Men brains. Milk it for all its worth.

Shame he probably won't get to hurt Mystique. Or Sabertooth for that matter. Talk about 2 people on Rogue's team he would have loved to go at.

From the looks of things, Marvel's set it all so that he'll actually be taking orders from Mystique during his stint as a villain. Way to go Marvel; you're really making him look like a badass.

Yeah, and for Mystique to be in that position, it would have to mean that she was a Marauder all along, which makes it a little more interesting.

Funny, I had the impression most of the AXM crew would serve such a purpose.

From the solicits it sounds like they're splitting into a couple of groups. I'm thinking Sam and Bobby go after one group while the others go to the mansion where the Astonishing and NXM are. Maybe Gambit goes to the mansion while the other group is the one on the 203 cover.

Cassaday and Whedon both say they get their stuff in on time and the delay is because of editorial for some reason.

Nah, the editors just are taking the heat on this one. Rather they be the bad guys then the artists. Smart move, really. Although whether or not it fools many people is an entirely different story.

But regarding the Cassady comments, ask any fan of Planetary. Took like, what, 5-6 months between two issues?

So what issue is Astonishing on? I might pick up a TPB of Torn and Unstoppable if Kitty bites it.
