#22 was supposed to be out in two weeks, but it got delayed.
F****n august.
F****n august.

It will still never be as bad as All Star batman and Robin. We get a new issue like every five months or so.Nah, the editors just are taking the heat on this one. Rather they be the bad guys then the artists. Smart move, really. Although whether or not it fools many people is an entirely different story.
But regarding the Cassady comments, ask any fan of Planetary. Took like, what, 5-6 months between two issues?![]()

1. Does anyone know exactly what Apocalypse said that fueld the question? I can't remember for the life of me?
2. Does this confirm that Gambit's going to make it through the crossover not only alive and well, but as a regular character again?
He was trying to flatter Gambit. He said something to the effect of: "Someone with your heritage should be a leader."
I think that was a reference to that stupid Clan Akkuba thing going on at the time that they made Chamber and Blink part of (ruining Chamber in the process).
I'm not hopeful at Marvel's plans to explore that avenue: there's too great a chance it'll be screwed up for my tastes either by connection him to someone he shouldn't be connected to (Apocalypse for example) or making his backstory even more convoluted.
Seems like it. Though I'm leaning more towards the belief that they'll just end up giving him a mini rather than put him on a team.
Eh. Even if they give him a whacked out heritage it'd pry be enough to tie him into the greater scheme for awhile... Good with the bad, no?
As for the mini... I wouldn't complain about that. Though I'm fairly sure he's going to wind up on a team after the crossover. There's been too much demand for him during his absence.
Didn't work too well last time they tried something like that. In Uncanny #350.
I'm less optimistic, but then again thats just me. I find it hard that they'd bother putting him back on a team after expressing as much contempt for him as they have (both deliberately and unintentionally).
t: Ah, c'mon, we all know Marvel learns from their mistakes, right?t:
To be fair though, they were just trying to tie him into X-history a little more. Just didn't turn out well.
About now though... I think that the fans have just complained too much for Marvel to dump Gambit off in limbo or something. He may not be written very well, but I think he'll be a regular somewhere or the other.
I'm not so sure of that. Not very many people really care about the character. He's been mired in a soap opera so long that the majority of X-fans have given up with the character or started claiming he's a shallow, pointless character and creators take potshots at him either in their work or in interviews and whenever the X-men are adapted to a new media, he's always ignored or tacked on well after the fact.
At this point, I'm doubting he'll ever become more than just a background character.
Lighten up man. It may take awhile, but Gambit's coming back.
t:Look at the link I provided. All three of the pages.t:
I did... and I'm even more excited now then I was when the cover first came out... Not only does it officially confirm that Gambit's back to his old self (though he is kept rather shrouded in the preview pages), but we get to see him go one-on-one with Cable? I'm loving it.
t:On a side note... Seems like Karima's the X-Member that goes Marauder against her will then?
A hint of who dies, perhaps?t:
I'm not sure that's gambit. Everybody seems to be wearing trenchcoats there days.
Nothing like some good news to beat back the tides of despair.
You're right! We don't want to freak out over some random guy with a Cajun accent and kinetic mutant powers, now do we?
I like how cold he comes off: he just stands there mocking Cable about being comrades in arms as he stares at a doll left by a small child who either died in the attack or had to flee, then casually charges it and brings the building down. This bodes well.
t:I love Gambit, and I'd love to learn more about his heritage...
As long as those *****es don't even mention the SUMMERS NAME WHEN THEY DO IT.
Yeah...but wouldn't it be a HUGE shock if we found out that Gambit was the...*GASP*...FOURTH SUMMERS BROTHER? OOOOHHHHH!!!
And if they do it I will never buy another Marvel comic again.
