I was rather fond of Ultimate Gambit in his last appearance in Ultimate Sacrifice. I liked all the art in it, really. It was...Raney? I'm not sure.

Eh. The pieces are all there for an incredibly poor resurrection. Gambit's body is under custody of S.H.I.E.L.D., his powers/persona have faded from Rogue... They could do it. Though I don't know why.

You forgot about how they run tests on him and are trying to create a serum/cure to neutralize powers.

Rogue is gonna find him by accidently smashing through a wall/floor/whatever.

Maybe if readers REALLY stop buying Ultimate X-Men they'll do it as a big event to draw people back in. Or some writer who loves Gambit could come along I suppose.

Ult X-Men is getting better because instead of just playing it arc to arc, now they're actually PLANNING.

I still maintain the Sinister "dying" just as Mastermind was walking by was a little too convenient. I think that's the way/method they'll go about bringing Gambit back.

Agreed. Millar and Kubert were a great team. The art was good the writing was even better. Ultimate X-men now is nothing compared to that. Why would they let such a bad penciller work on a comic like this? It's X-men, not She Hulk.

The Ramos cover is better. He drew some weird yet cool poses. The colors are much better too.

I normally prefer Finch, but yeah, I thought in this case the Ramos Gambit was better or at least more interesting.

^Yeah, Ramos actually did Gambit justice. I still like the Bachalo cover better though. Finch's cover is just fun to look at though.
