He's thinking the same way most of the X Men think, sadly enough.

Here's a random question for you guys: What are Gambit's weaknesess?

He's emotional. It's what separates him from just being another Wolverine, I think. Gambit tore himself apart internally after the massacre. He also wants the ungettable get, I think that's why he pursued Rogue. He wanted to be able to love the girl no one else could.

He's a thief... So he wants what he can't have.

Yup. He is drawn by the challenge of it. :)

It is true that he always wants the ungettable get. I really like that emotional aspect of him. The fact that he hides it behind his suaveness and carefree attitude. I'd like to see an enemy find his weakness and exploit it. It would be very interesting to see how Gambit reacts to that. Fighting wise he almost has no weaknesess.

Of course this raises the interesting question wether he let himself fall in love with Rogue as a way to punish himself.

Freud would have a field day with this guy. :)

I don't think he did. After all Gambit is Gambit, he wanted to tap that.

Yeah but he kept coming back to the relationship even after he got to tap that. And every time it got worse and worse.

Maybe he wanted prove to himself that he could actually care about another person without using them for personal gain.

Gambit did go after Rogue because he "couldn't".

Unlike most things, he did not lose interest once he "had" her, because having her was not complete. He could love her and be loved, but there could be no physical love (most of the time). When he can touch her, it's brief and on the whole "un-satisfying", I believe. When they were both de-powered in X-Treme they had too many emotional issues going on to truly appreciate it (I also believe once they got over those issues he wasn't even around that much, spending a good chunk of the remaining issues doing other things) (ie, attacking X-Corps, going with Storm to Texas).

We thought we'd have a conversation before you came in and derailed it. :)

It's my very presence, yes? I'm just so damn attractive all other things fade.

And, YESH! HA! I don't even intend to do it. It just gets done.

Wassup, L.V.?

Nuttin. Just messing with Gambit's ****ed up psyche. :)

Well, when Gambit is written at his best even the fans aren't supposed to know what's going on inside of his head... Let alone other comic characters. :woot:

So much for the Remy/ Rogue break up.

At least emmymae will be happy...

Are you people blind. He's obviously making goo-goo eyes at her trying to surprise her with that charged card and she took off her glove. This is their idea of a fight.

Though I do like the picture. Gambit is showing a remarkable level of restraint. He's actually looking into her eyes.
