please, sooner or later those two had to reunite. i was just hoping for sometype of showdown.
and plus...i was actually looking forward to him being evil.
more fun that way...:woot:

Too bad he's crying like a little girl then, huh?
:cmad:

There would be something wrong with him if he didn't get emotional over someone he used to (and probably still does) care about.

No matter what goes down between him and Rogue romatnically speaking, he still cares for her-he's that type, after all;204 will be interesting...I so hope he hasn't turned evil!:(

I don't think he has, not entirely. He has his own agenda, I guess. I just hope they don't make him disappear again is all.

*nods*I think he has his own agenda, too-he wouldn't be the Gambit we know and love if he didn't, after all!;)I wondered where he was, since I had dropped Xmen for a bit and started re-reading from the Supernovas storyline...so I wondered what had happened to Gambit!:(I so hope he can come back full time now!!

Me, too, but so far he hasn't shown up on any of the upcoming roster announcements. :( It doesn't look like he is going to be on a steady team. I just hope he stays close by just the same. I don't want to have to wait six months in between appearances like before. That really sucked.

Characters can show emotion without being total wimps about it. Especially characters who are supposed to embody the whole "poker face" thing.

I am guessing he is speaking to her privately when no one else is around.

I feel very sorry for your significant other.

for a 'bad guy' he sure does look remorseful in the top pic.
what book is this bad guy list published in? I'm assuming there's more info than that on the next page?

*nods*I hope so too;I really missed him in all the issues he was gone, wondering where he had gone, till I finally got to read Blood of Apocalypse-at which point I was :wow: at what was happening!I hope he can be back-and I also want to know how he got rid of that Death look too!!!:p

A grown man is crying. Thats not right.

There's nothing wrong with a grown man crying, Canemacar...nothing wrong with showing you're human enough to shed a tear;it definitely doesn't tarnish any image of macho-ness associated with men-you know, the 'too tough to cry and show their emotions' thing is a long-ago-surpassed stereotype,or it should be, at least,I think!I love the emotion in that one frame above, it's only and above all else human!

Yeah, make personal jabs. That'll convince me.
Hey, I'm not the one coming in here and bashing the guy in his owncharacter thread. You act like there is nothing human in a man crying and I say you're wrong. He has always been high strung and very emotional, though he hides it well for the most part. He doesn't have Logan's hard won detatchment, no matter how hard he tries. He cried when he dug the graves of the Shi'ar because it reminded him of his own crimes against the Morlocks. That shows genuine remorse. I'll take that. I'd rather have a character that feels than a stone cold killer like Sabes.

looks like Wizard magazine to me. :)

Issue #193 to specify.

I don't see that as human, I see it as pathetic, aside from the crying. At this point in time, Gambit should feel angry towards Rogue and the X-men. He should be mad that Rogue trusts a pathological liar over him, flirts with ANY guy who can touch her, and didn't bother to look for him after he had been brainwashed(though she took time to do so for Northstar and Aurora). Him crawling back like that shows a complete lack of self-respect and it just makes me feel contempt for Gambit.

No, Gambit's always been an emotionally distant guy who covers up any genuine emotion with a lot of one-liners and a lot of smack talk. He's not the type to wear their emotions on their sleeve and writing/drawing him that way isn't right.

This argument has merit, but who is to say he still isn't damaged after being brainwashed. Who knows what Sinister did to him to undo what Apocolypse had done? It wasn't that long ago that Gambit would have fought Sinster tooth and nail, and yet he was the first guy Gambit turned to after this. Either he is (still) being written way off character or something else has happened that they have not shown us.

I do agree that he has a lot of reasons to be angry with Rogue and the X-men. Polaris was taken back into the fold readily enough and no one even tried to look for and recover him. :(

What about the whole, oh, I dunno, not breaking feakin' COVER while he's around Sins & cie???!!! :D

can, i m guessing yah dont remember this:
XMEN185_col.jpg

seriously though, the guy was in love with her for a long time, what was he supposed to do? just say 'off with her ****in' head'? i rather wait to see what he is saying to her before i call him a whimp.
Gotta agree with Darth, though.

Why should Gambit hate the X-men since he's the ****** who joined Apocalypse in the first place and screwed up his life in the process?

Men cry in soap operas all the time. And we all know X-men is one giant soap opera.

No, I've just worked very hard to forget it.

I don't see why. It's clear from the preview images it's going to be angsty and annoying. I mean, do you really need to stick your hand in the fire to confirm if it's hot?

And everyone hates those guys except the women who lust after them.

There is that, of course, and it is a right argument, as Squeekness also said;the following arguments, are also pretty good-no one went after Gambit after he was changed and disappeared and that also felt wrong, at least to me;they found Orora and Northstar, Polaris was welcomed back into the X-Men,but no one went looking for him and we were given no info at all as to his whereabouts all this time, till he appeared out of the blue in #200!And don't get me started on Rogue;she's a favourite character, has been for years, but her behaviour towards the man she supposedly loved has been unacceptable ever since Golgotha;I'd have expected her to move heaven and hell to find him, after he disappeared on them after BoA!!

I'd like to know what the text is on that pic, though-yes, Canemacar, sticking your hand into the fire to see if it's hot is the only way to go,methinks(after all, the flames you see might be an illusion, right?;)Even more so where the Xmen are concerned!!;))
