Why should Gambit hate the X-men since he's the ****** who joined Apocalypse in the first place and screwed up his life in the process?
he did it to protect them apparently. but i agree, that was a stupid decision
No, I've just worked very hard to forget it.
i think everyone tries. :woot:
the way they do a close up to her eyes makes me think she's really dreaming about gambit crying and being next to her. she'll just wake up and (maybe...hopefully) face a rather angry/pissed off gambit.
just a prediction...

It was the stupidest decision he ever made, I think!*huffs*Only excuse-and it's not even a good one, mind you-I can come up with for him is the mental strain he had been put through in the events before-Bizzare Love Triangle, Golgotha, etc!But I think his going to Apocalypse was so arbitrary and a massive mistake!!:s

And that prediction wouldbe so nice if it came true!;)And so unexpected!!;)

...how long till issue #204?:xmen:

I still say Emma sent him off to Apocolypse. There is that scene that he's talking to someone about starving. I am not convinced he went without a nudge...

Right after this panel, he just ups and walks to Apocolypse who claims he was expected. It still smacks of a set up to me, one way or another.

He IS a thief.

A deliciously morally-ambivalent, lean, mean, stealing machine.

*drools*

oct 24.
I say let's blame Emma for everything
that would be kinda funny if she was really working for the villians and just decided to use gambit to carry out her duties.
just saying:dry: :whatever:

With Emma you never know. Maybe she made him do it because she caught him stealing her undies.... :p

*swoons and drools*That was so nicely stated!

Ahem...on a more serious note,I do wonder if Emma had anything to do with his defection to Apocalypse-yes, always so easy to blame her, lol!:pAnd it's not the undies, I think...does anyone remember issue 10 of the last Gambit mini series-projecting a mental image of Blob without clothes on to deter mental intrusion? Now, that ought to make a telepath want to take revenge!*giggles*

And hey, if he doesn't steal the baby, who will? It's his kind of caper...but which side would he be stealing it for?*scratches head*

Gambit works for NO side.

The only side he has is his own. He does thing for his own wants, needs, and greeds. I wouldn't be surprised if he took the baby and ran, hiding it until it can be of some use to him.

For example, when needs to start building a team of orphans to pick pocket people similar to Oliver Twist...

Gambit could easily be Fagen.

He could just start an auction to see which side would pay him more for the baby.

Why would a man who selflessly saved the life of a child during the Massacre (Marrow) then steal another child from its mother for selfish gain? If he's stealing this kid, it's because he has good reason.

Saving Marrow from a slaughter he caused isn't really "selfless".

BTW, they were joking about auctioning off the child....He's going to eat it!:woot:

Gambit didn't cause the slaughter, he enabled it, not quite the same thing. He didn't know just how bad it was going to be. Sinister played him. He woudln't have done it so willingly if he'd know how it was going to play out.

It's still his mess because, let's face it, he knew some bad **** was going to go down and still went ahead with it.

They won't just have Gambit swipe the baby and try to see what side will give him more... That wouldn't even be the style of the old morally ambiguous Gambit.

No, if he steals the baby it'll be for some unforseen reason that only he knows about.

Well, Gambit has always had his own agenda-I'd bet anything the same is true of his current 'affiliation' with Sinister, since I can't see him truly going back to him, after the whole Mutant Massacre mess.I mean, he did know something not good was going to happen, but he was appaled by what did come to pass and we've been led to believe it's a defining moment of change for him, the remorse for his own part in that story! With that in mind, I can't see him being pals with Sinister again for whatever reason, other than his own private agenda-or perhaps an Emma plan we've not seen yet, I'm definitely not ruling that out!!:oAs for the baby...can't see him auctioning it, either, if he gets his hands on it;it all depends on what his real plans are and have been all this time!

I say...

Let's see the X-Men lambast him some more for 1) Mutant Massacre, 2) joining Apocalypse, and 3) maybe-possibly-kinda turning evil.

Once that's happened, I say welcome him back into the fold by letting taht ****e Emma have a shot at him. (And I mean that sexually, not violently).

Ughh.. as long as I don't have to watch. I hate her more than anyone....
