Gambit lost the accent when he became Death didn't he? I think he is not fully himself again yet, so the accent is on and off.

Any idea as to where gambit will probably end up after messiah complex since x-adjectiveless is being cancelled?

WHAT!? X-adjectivless is cancelled? How can that be!?

Dunno. There've been rumors about it. But there're supposed to be a bunch of new title launching after the crossover too... like this X-Men: Legacy maxi series that Carey's doing.

I'm not sure who stated it but Gambit isn't going to be joining any x-teams in 2008 so he's either going with Carey or is going into limbo until 2009.

Well Carey's almost surely getting Rogue...

And where Rogue has gone, so hath Gambit for the last decade.

I only want him in X-force if Wolverine gets to disembowel him again.

Is Rictor still in X-Force somewhere?

Then they can both compare hair products.:woot:

Guys, are you talking about X-force or X-factor!?

There is always Rogue in the picture.

Well Rogue's supposedly going with Carey to Legacy...

So if Gambit somehow wound up on a different team (I know it's unlikely), then it could lead to a revival of the character.

Depends on the writer. Most don't make him anything more than a cliche. Ironically, one of the only ones who don't, is only interested in using him to do some Romy stuff.

perhaps that's where gambit comes into it.

...? Is there a point in there?

And I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ here.

If they're not an actual renegade team, why the f**k would they want Remy around after that messy BOA/Marauders business?

Not to mention Wolvie would gladly cut the cajun open in 2k5.

Well, I suppose we'll have to wait and find out about the writer.

But I think if a writer took Gambit and completely ignored Rogue for a bit the character could rebalance.

As long as the writer wasn't Brubaker or Austen or someone.

the point was that he could put the renegade into the team

Hows about we put Gambit into a whole new formation of the Brotherhood?

Maybe even as leader.

Eh, 616 Gambit was never the leader type. He's too much of a lone flyer. He "led" a team for a few issues at one point, but that was just to further his own interests.

Gambit seperated from the X-Men (though not necessarily a villain), has potential.
