It would almost be better to play by yourself in Gears 2 sometimes. Especially when you are split up. I can't tell you how many times in Gears 2 when I was playing through with a buddy and my friendly AI would run right up into an onslaught of enemies just to be mowed down before I could even get there. Of course he dies shortly because they run up and curb stomp him. End of game, restart.

These devs need to rework the teammate A.I. Especially the likes of EPIC which normally their bots are highly intelligent.

I dont think iv ever played a game where i was really impressed with my AI teammates.

Uncharted impressed me. Maybe it's just because those AI teammates are invincible, though. Elena's a pretty terrible shot.

Yea, i think it was because they were invincible tho, you never had to run over and revive them, because they really didn't add any help, at all.

This game was a little disappointing. Fans hyped it up to be a great experience, but the second half was annoying. The level design went south; I couldn't make heads or tails of where I was going or what had to be done in some of the puzzle parts. The story was okay, but it could've dropped a few less GB1&2 references and had more original material. Controls were wonky, too. The first time you capture a ghost, you feel kinda satisfied. When you've met your 20th ghost and you realize there's only one or two other ways to get rid of them besides doing a hook-'n-reel maneuver...not so much.

That's kinda negative, I know. I don't think it's a bad game. But I'm glad I rented this, at the same time.

Bought this game the week it came out.

Anyways, haven't really touched it since I beat it, I maybe pop it in once or twice, but I don't really play it. But nevertheless its a really fun game, and I had a total blast going through it with all my friends. I found the controls to be pretty good and simple, and I found the camera angle perfect. Also it had a pretty good story and the voice acting was SUPERB.

Now the negatives. I found the A.I. on professional difficultly to be downright annoying, all your team mights do is die, die die, Die, DIE, DIE, and when they go down every 5 seconds and you need to be revived they never make it in time to revive you, so really, there's no point in reviving your team mates during a battle. I also found the loading screens to be a little too long and they should of not put the theme song in the loading screen because of after dying every 5 seconds on professional it gets really old........fast.

But anyways, I'll probably go through this game after I go through the next game I buy. Its a super fun game on the first 2 difficulty's but the last difficulty needed some work. Busting ghosts was also very fun and is unique to the game.

I give this game a 8/10.

I played a little live last night and the place where i have my 360 has a weak wifi signal so I didn't have to talk to anyone for a while. But it was fun although I think some of those achievements would be pretty tough to get. I don't think i came in 1st in anything.

I think AI characters in all games should be invincible. I hate having to take care of dumb AI.

Same here. Or, at the very least, that you could be treated the same as AI characters if they do include a revive mechanic. Like in Gears 2, if your teammates take too much damage, they fall over and you have to revive them or kill all the enemies in the area on your own. If you take too much damage, on the other hand, the game ends and you need to go back to a checkpoint. Really annoying, especially when I'm usually taking cover right next to one of my AI teammates so it'd be really easy for one of them to revive me.

Granted, they do have that feature in Ghostbusters, which is nice.

I just played the demo on PS3 and 360.

I really liked it too.

I played the demo like four times, total. Casual seemed fine. Played it on experienced...and holy ****ing **** did they crank up the pain.

Now the achievement, ARE YOU A GOD?, for beating the game on Professional....seems like the most appropriate name for any achievement, ever.

Their achievements are great. "I Feel so Funky" = best achievement that you get for literally doing nothing. All you have to do is stand still and let a ghost fly through you.

I got that one by accident. A lot of the achievements are fun and surprisingly easy to obtain. I thought the slam dunk one was gonna involve some effort, but it's less skill-based than it sounded.

They should've made it specific to being slimed by Slimer. He's who I got the trophy from anyway, which was very satisfying :)

While we're on the subject:

I hate having to take care of dumb AI.

One of my worst moments in this game was due to an AI partner. I beat a group of ghosts in the cemetery and I kept on hearing the battle music continue, so I go looking for Ray. Turns out Ray was downed by one of those grave monsters...and was up in a tree. Literally, glitched to the very top. I'm at ground level with no way of getting up there to revive him, so my only choice is to progress and hope the game will teleport him during a loading sequence or a puzzle to where I am. But no such luck. It wouldn't even trigger dialogue or let me do one of the gate puzzles. I had to redo the whole mission 'cause of that.

Ha, that's hilarious. The only major glitch i've had is during Times Square when you have to trap everything in the slammer. The last ghost got glitched inside the the laundromat, which doesn't actually open the door until after catching them all and playing the cutscene. The only possible thing then was to restart.

Iv never come across any glitches in the SP, but i did come across a glitch in the MP. During surrvival, we had trapped all ghosts and were ready to move on to the next round, but no more ghosts came. We had to cross the streams to end the round. The game was a really solid, well built game for the most part.

I've never actually crossed the streams. I must try it.

haha i was in a match earlier and these 3 idiots were SURE that if you crossed the streams it wouldnt kill you. I insisted that if they did that, it would kill us all. Well, they did, and it killed us all.

I was once in a survival match and the last ghost on the third wave got stuck on the ceiling. We all tried several things to bring it down but it just kept flailing its limbs as if it were caught and kept right up there. We should have crossed the streams, I didn't think of that.

I got this and Mirror's Edge from Gamefly yesterday, beat Mirror's Edge and am onto this now. Wrangling ghosts is perfect, the graphics are great, the writing could be better. Overall it is fun so far, I just finished the museum level. It's great to jump into the Ghostbuster role and go through familiar locals.

However, for the love of God, having to revive everyone is a pain in the ass.

Play on casual, you wont have to revive ur teammates nearly as much and the game still has some challenge to it.

That seems to be the biggest complaint. I heard the gameplay was influenced by Gears of War. If that's the case, I wish they'd taken a look at Gears 2, which greatly improved the effectiveness of the AI so you weren't constantly reviving people in every firefight.

Yea, for a quick fix all they have to do is increase the amount of damage it takes to knock one of ur teammates down.

Indeed. Although, that might become annoying because it doesn't take much to knock you down.
