Well the graphic novels are tied into the show so Im making this thread. Not to mention theres been a whole bunch of mutants (whatever you call them) in the Heroes graphic novel universe. I swore there was a thread on this but I couldn't find it...if there is sorry :o

I love the graphic novels. I cant wait until the next hardcover collection comes out.

^Hmmm, I haven't read the actual hard cover graphic novels. I don't know if theyre the same as the online ones....if they are though its not really worth it because the Heroes website has a library full of all online graphic novels released so far.
Unless you are a mega huge heroes fan.

By the way did anyone read the recent one? It was pretty good. It would be awesome if the guy with metal powers was actually on the show. And the strangest 'power' yet has to be lung girl
Really, some people can fly...regenerate...and she can hold her breath for 2 hours...okkay.

Funny thing is, her powers are actually the most plausible, considering that our DNAs aren't that much different than dolphin DNA. Imagine a recessive gene surfacing...

She'd actually be pretty useful with proper training. Imagine a SEAL team with her powers. She'd also be very useful in a gas attack. Even the ones that can regenerate can fall under a gas attack, since they'd still have to breathe.

Funny. I made this post without ever reading the story with her in it. I just did, and sure enough, she used a gas attack tactic. The gas affected the other powered human, but not her. I also liked the Magneto-like person in the comic she's in, even though she does beat him with the gas tactic.

I like her charecter and I'd take her powers anyday it just seems kind of odd when you compare it to other awesome powers like time-travel, electricity, etc.
But I do like how they're keeping the powers grounded to reality...thats what makes Heroes different from the X-men.
As far as most plausible powers...that belongs to Charlie. Actually, its not really a 'power'...more like savantism, hehe.
And the new girl (from the graphic novels) Donna Dunlap...she has super vision (like Dale had super hearing) but Im not too fond of her charecter.

Btw, did anyone read the one with Julien Dumot (cloning ability)...I always thought that cloning was a lame power but they made the cloning look very grotesque and cool.

Well, no matter how good Heroes are, they will never be as good as X-Men. Besides, without X-Men there won't be Heroes, no matter how the creator claimed he never read comic books.

I don't know...Heroes came out in 2006 but already its comparable to X-men, which has been here for what?..40+ years. So, I don't know about it'll 'never be as good as X-men', its a young franchise thats just getting started only time will tell but in my opinion the Heroes universe doesn't trail too far behind X-men, of course this is my opinion (especially if you are comparing the two chronologically.)
And I doubt that without the X-men there wouldn't be Heroes....maybe you're right but it would be only be a matter of time before a story that dealt with 'real people with powers' surfaced.

How awesome would that be if Heroes lasted for another 40+ years. Not as the original series, of course. That would be insane. But through its spin-offs, like Star Trek. Comics, spin-off shows, even movies. That would be kick-ass.

The Kill Squad part Two is up.

Im not sure if I really liked that one. That guy is basically Black Tom from X-men. I know that Heroes is as 'scifi' as it gets but I'd still like to see that powers somewhat grounded to reality and not too far fetched.
Like I said before I like how they've been trying to have simple powers like vison girl, lung super breathing girl, and echo (from the webisodes)

Thanks to the GN's we finally know what P[BLACKOUT]aulette[/BLACKOUT] H[BLACKOUT]awkins'[/BLACKOUT] power was, she was an "[BLACKOUT]Augmenter[/BLACKOUT]" so pretty much she made other [BLACKOUT]Godsends stronger[/BLACKOUT], but sadly we [BLACKOUT]won't be seeing[/BLACKOUT] her power on the show because she was [BLACKOUT]shot[/BLACKOUT] (and [BLACKOUT]killed[/BLACKOUT]) in "The Kill Squad Pt 3".:o

Makes me wonder if the Kill Squad will be on the show.

The new graphic novel is about Daphne Millbrook and...she has a partner in crime. it looks like it will lead up to her confrontation with Hiro.

cute easter egg.

Whoa! New Graphic Novel :wow: They kill off all their interesting charecters.

I was hoping they'd spare Adrien Dumot, I thought he was really cool...sucks that he had to bite the dust. I also liked Donna Dunlap.

I can't wait to read the next GN: Return of Sylar. The show is only a few days away! woot!
