Well, to me they're not...Well, maybe I am just conforming, but imo they are the best comic book films in that order.

I bet you we get a light and fluffy version of The Lizard, so he won't scare the kids.ballet dancers? I really think not, there are dark elements that have been adapted properly. The Lizard will most likley be like he was back in the 1960's and 1970's and I'm happy about that. There were sort of dark elements from Lizard stories, especially in the comic series "Spider-Man", which Todd Macfarlane did the art for. The first story was Torment and it had a dark aspect to it and some fo those aspects should and could work, but not all.

He won't be light and fluffy, I mean just look at all the other Villians in the films. They are truly menacing.I bet you we get a light and fluffy version of The Lizard, so he won't scare the kids.![]()
IMO, it was very bad and the films are a 100 times better than that show. It was so boring and unSpider-Man like, IMO. I just didn't feel the Spidey I know and love in that show.Despite what some people said about the animated series on MTV from a few years back, I think was well written, directed and had a great flow to it and was in some ways, was better than the movies. Though it was loosely based on the 1st movie, I think i captured and actually had everything that the movies were lacking...
The Crow owns every comic book film ever made. I also like V for Vendetta, Road To Perdition is good too, it's how most comic book films with non-powered characters should be handled. As for comic book-like movies, The Matrix and Terminator 2, still hasn't been touched by the icon comic book films to date. Ironically and a damn shame, because the Wachowski Bros./Cameron get most of their stuff from comic books.I doubt the Lizard will be light and fluffy, unless you thought Jurassic Park was not significantly darker than A Land Before Time. We should expect that the Lizard will be, at the very least, on a level similar to that of the velociraptors in Jurassic Park.
Now you're probably going to tear apart what I just said, because that's probably not dark enough for you. Though I think the presence of Kraven would actually make it a decent bit darker than that, I have no issue with a Spider-Man movie being on that level of darkness and suspense.
Now just out of curiosity, what DO you consider the best comic book films of all-time? You seem to be of the opinion that the only good movies are the ones that are "dark," so I'd like to see how that's reflected in what you DO like (which you so seldom speak of in any thread).
Christmas time, absolutely not, it could get too cutesy and sentimental, with presents and bullsh:t Christmas music. During the winter, yes, that would be great for a different season. Just leave Christmas out of it, this ain't Home Alone.I'd echo the use of Lizard and Kraven, definitely.
What I would do is set it at Christmas time, just for something different.
Most big movies are shot during the summer, but I seem to remember a turkey being carved in SM1. So a winter scene would be nice. The last three movies were so generically seasoned; they could've taken place at any time of the year.

Why would you say that? I'm a gentle and kind soul, full of love, caring and sharing. In fact, I'm about to make some JELL-O right now, please, name your flavor. You are one bitter individual.
Yeah, a Winter New York scenery would be great. Especially with The Lizard, the cold climate could be a good reasons why he goes underground down into the sewers.I agree with Vis, I rather not have a movie be set around Christmas. However I am not opposed to a movie set in the Winter.
I think the problem about a Winter setting would be the Spider-Man costume itself because it would be very uncomfortable for Maguire or any kind of stuntman.I do like the idea of having it set in Winter, and I don't think having it set around Christmas would be the worst idea. Though, if they're planning to release it in the summer, which I'm sure they are, then the whole Christmas setting doesn't actually work that well.

How YOU would do Spider-Man 4
Good point there, DACrowe. I don't think anyone knows what they want, they'll just have to wait and see what comes of Spider-Man 4.I'd ignore what all the fans on the internet say they want, because they have no idea what they want.![]()
