Iron Man 3 The Official IM3 Trailer Thread! - Part 1

Kane could you post a gif which is a prolly a spolier its kinda kool! However I will not mention. Thanks Bro

Ok...I'm officially calling it, this movie will freaking OWN, as well as Phase 2 will overall.

Great second trailer. Action-packed but still not giving up the whole movie. Maybe because it's in English and HD, but it seems like this trailer actually had a lot more stuff in it than the previously leaked one that was on here on Sunday night.

So, do we know who the guy in the baseball cap is?

Surfer

Kane, could you post a gif? You know, that one I won't describe with any detail. Read my mind magically, you'll figure it out. Thanks in advance bro.

watched it twice now, and just sitting smiling with my arms raised in joy

dont ask how i typed this

???? HUH ???? Now how in the heck to does Cumberbatch sound like Ledger? or Silva? I'm sorry I'm not connecting the dots here. I never once thought of Ledger for any of those characters.

Evidently, monologuing villains didn’t exist until The Dark Knight.

so it looks like it's the stealth armor he uses in the end. like the spoilers we got indicated he uses it to sneak into AIM

This trailer was pretty epic! All the armors lining up, the action, and I personally love Then Mandarin in the trailer.

Favorite line, "Do you want an empty life, or a meaningful death?"

Well you should have definitely heard it with Silva. The crew of Skyfall was inspired by TDK and have said as much. It isn't about the accent, it is the context and content. Go back and watch TDK trailers. The quirky, forboding, promise to make your sky fall villains.

I know people want to be defensive about their favorite things, but that doesn't mean there is not rational thought here. This reminds me of the Inception horns thing.

I don't doubt that directors/actors take inspiration and even outright copy stuff from others. I've seen it in other films.

Silva's performance reminded me more of an amalgomation of Bond villians more than the Joker. About the only thing Jokerish about his performance, is when he steals the police uniform and blends into the crowd.

Kingsley's performance reminds me nothing of the joker and certainly not his speech.

Its more of a matter of a certain villain archetype that has become very popular in recent years.

As well as Hollywood reusing the exact same story beats across all of its big franchises, with the villain purposely getting caught as part of a nonsensically complicated plan.

TDK of course invented none of this, but it was at the beginning of the current wave similar plots.

And then there's the similarities in which trailers are cut.

Where are the screen captures, people?
