i just wondering if 'Thatdamnninja' knows something we don't. Unless he think Tucci would be a great casting choice.

It is an oddly worded post, all right... But until he clarifies or adds a link I'm disgregarding.

Yeah, it's worded in a way where it seems like he knows something. also, Tucci is such an off-the-wall choice that it might have some weight behind it.

But like what you said, there's no proof otherwise, and it could be a miss-communication.

I wouldn't cry if Tucci got it.

okay, i read through some of his posts, and he stated that he knows (with confidence) that Tucci will be a supervillain in a superhero movie. but which one I don't know..

Posted on the Spider-man boards:

Still just a rumor.

And I'm not saying "maybe" Stanley Tucci is cast as a villain. I'm saying Stanely Tucci WILL be cast as a supervillain, it's just a matter of which movie.

Untill he can say something about it, either he knows for a fact that Tucci will be in a superhero movie, OR...well...you know.

To me, it just seems like he's very confident that Stanley Tucci will inevitably be cast as the villain in a superhero movie before long, rather than him actually having some kind of insider source.

No insider source. Just a hunch, backed up by patterns. Look at the nominees for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor throughout this decade. It certainly seems like the studios are really big on grabbing at actors hot-off-the-heels of an Oscar nomination to play villains.

Stanley Tucci looks like a lock for a Best Supporting Actor for The Lovely Bones, and other than Christoph Waltz, who has already been snagged as the villain in The Green Hornet--and would play Red Skull, not Sinestro, if he were to double-dip--, Tucci is the only guy on the Oscar radar who fits the bill of Potential Movie Supervillain.

And with Green Lantern needing to cast it's villain soon, and the Oscars coming up... Tucci/Sinestro makes as much sense as anything.

He'd be able to play the kind, wise, mentor part of the role that others might struggle with. If he could handle the physicality, I'd be okay with it.

if that's the case, I'm placing bids on Adam Beach as Tom.

will be a nice day here once we get confirmation on any leads/supporting roles.

Tucci could definitely work. He would make a great Vulture too.

i dont know his work like i said in other page but he does seem like a solid actor.

Whoever they wind up casting should play Sinestro with an upper class english accent like the old school British army officers. That's key.

The more I watch The Thick of It, the more I think Peter Capaldi would make an oddly perfect Sinestro. Malcolm Tucker is already worthy of a yellow ring...

In the GL movie, Thaal Sinestro will appear as a GLC member who would later became the Corps greatest enemy. How would the movie foreshadow his turn to the dark side?

For me, this outfit is a great foretelling of his transformation into a villain.

With the yellow eyes, you can tell he's gonna be a villain.
