Jeez, Octoberist. You really don't like people hating Star Wars, do you?

I know you have a massive ego and believe that everyone should like/dislike the same things you do (:oldrazz:), but you gotta get over it. :woot:

Seriously, I don't like Stars Wars, either. I wouldn't call them bad movies. I just don't like them, even though I can appreciate them to a degree.

yea i see no issues or problems with sinestro's name at all.

As for starwars yea the originals are my all time fav right up there with my other fav classics from the 80s like indy, BTTF, and others. But yea i hated ep 1 minus the fights, and ep 2 and 3 had its good and bad parts.

Strong definetily has the voice and the gravitas. :woot:

yea sounds good. cant wait to see how he is going to do sinestro.

again, Sinestro is such a Silver Age type villain that it gets a pass due to its charm. If they can't figure it out then whatever. If his name doesn't give it away, then his 'devilish good looks' will. Pun Pun Pun!

Besides, I've said 10 million times already. I think it would have been worse if his name was pronounced 'SIN-Es-Tro' but it's not; it's pronounced "Sah-Nest-Tro" so it's not that bad.

Anyway, that's just the charm of comic book characters. Either you go with it or you don't:

Kinda like how a part of the lexicon can accept a villain named Dr. Doom, along with his real name Victor VON DOOM. So on the nose on that one.
should they have this in the tv spot? or what should the masses care if he is from the ''silver age'' ?

:woot:

No... they should just run the ads showing whatever they want and hopefully drop any mental dead weight from their potential audience by allowing simpletons to decide to avoid the movie based on really high quality criteria such as, "OMGZZ!!!1!! A giant special effects superhero movie in space!! Look! One supporting character has a moustache... count me out!!!". Not every epic fx film can be as high quality as having bug eyed blue creatures screw each other with their ponytails. Sorry.

...When you say it like that, Avatar almost sounds ridiculous.

If you think that have a being named Sinestro is corny, you haven't really seen nothing.

His Eminence, Jaime Cardinal Sin

There is actually a Cardinal named Sin (get it... cardinal sin -- and he is actually a cardinal). There are other examples like that elsewere. If that happens here, it should not be surprising that someone named Sinestro could be an alien.

Amazing! So I guess each Latern's suit will have a different look. That's neat. And Sinestro is amazing.

How do you know if that's official?

The signature at the bottom of the pic "EJ Krisor" he is a famous designer, he's worked on Spider-Man 3 among many other things and it looks to professional and creative to have been done by a fan. Sorry to say but any fan would of just copy the suit right out of the comic book. This is something else.

The suit is definitely different, but I can certainly see it working. Just trim the hair and facial hair a bit and I think he'll look perfect.

^I'm kinda getting a travolta vibe from that pic, it looks good, especially without the mullet. I especially like the yellowy-green coming from his ring, obviously its concept art but its nice foreshadowing.
