Already a thread on this... though, it's not 'official'

 

Great news but I would be more happy if a MG movie went the route of Advent Children, there wouldn't be any limitations at all.

 

there really aren't any limits in film, either.

 

What exactly about MGS limits it from being make-able? It's a fairly grounded story. Short of Psycho Mantis

 

And so begins the 4th re-telling of the same story...

 

This film has alot of potenial, lets just hope it lives up to the expectations.

 

maybe I should've called it, the official FINALLY!!

 

They lost my interest when they said Uwe Boll wouldn't direct.

 

A Metal Gear Solid movie would be awesome. Here's my partial cast.

Hal "Otacon" Emmerich: Sean Maher a.k.a Simon from Firefly (with bleached hair)



Revolver Ocelot: Gary Oldman (w/ old person makeup)



Colnel Roy Campbell: Gene Hackman

 

Eric Bana would be kickass as Snake.

 

I remember when I said Bana, Bale, or Thomas Jane for Snake and literally had my post ripped apart.

Now people are saying Bana for Snake.

 

That's because everyone hates your face.

Oh man, Sean would make the perfect Hal, great choice there.

I agree with Bana, I've always thought he had that Snake look, especially in Black Hawk Down. Also, I know Solid and Liquid are supposed to be identical, but I just think Sean Bean would make a great Liquid.

 

I agree, but I feel bad for Sean, he's always getting cast as the bad guy.. and he himself would not be a bad Snake..
Of course maybe they could do some makeup to make them look more alike?

 

He deffinately needs to be on the winning side for a change, but he just plays the bad guy so well.

 

Or how about this guy:

He played good guys but I think since he played 006 he become typecast as the Bad Guy.

Who plays Liquid Snake though? He is the main villian.

 

always the same guy who plays Solid, Stringer

 

Everyone always says that Sean Bean would make a great Liquid... Why can't he be solid too? I'm sure he could learn (if he doesn't know already) a good american accent and dye his hair, and be a good Solid Snake too.


But, I say Tim Daly for Snake!

 

That guy, looks nothing like that now.
