me too. I didnt see the problem with him. Could be bc MGS2 was hte first MGS game I played through so I didnt really miss Snake but Raiden was fine.

The problem was that he just wasn't Snake, no matter how cool they made him. Badass, mullet, cool voice doesn't compare to girly blonde haired boy that the President mistakes for a woman.

The thing with Raiden is that he came out of the left field. I didn't expect that. Snake is the baddest and you develope a connection with him playing in all those games, you feel his pain as it were. And lets face it, when Raiden fell off those Tankers in MGS2, his scream was funny.

Now I think they fixed Raiden for MGS4, he does look badass. And his moves for taking out those Metal Gears was awesome. You have to agree with that. As for him being cloned? Maybe. But I'm not so sure. But he does look like the new super soldier.

As for MGS5, hopefully. I had this thought that since MGS4 was called Guns of the Patriots, that you would be fighting the 'Guns' of the Patriots. Like Ocelot is the final step before getting to the main people. I can't wait to play MGS4 and see where the story takes us. Its sure to be a masterpiece.

Imo there was nothing wrong with Raiden, other than he some times asked stupid questions. The main problem was Rose, she was an unwelcome intrusion but Raiden was fine. His only real fault was taking over what could/should have been phenomenal snake time.

The characters switched but the gameplay was the same, actually better than MGS1. I liked the new role that Snake played as Pliskin. I thought it was an interesting twist

I doubt they'll have Snake become a bad guy. Kojima wouldn't do that. Snake's going out as a hero. Period.

how true.. one thing i do like though is they have made liqiud and snake on par with each other again. cos liquid is in an old mans body and so is snake. i never really noticed they done that until ages after the game trailers were out and stuff
