Also, your logic would make sence if Square-Enix were actually the ones behind the animation Advent Children, but in all actuality it was a seperate company called Visual Works. Last time I checked they weren't a "rival videogame developer"

If a Metal Gear film is to be made here is my opinion how the films should be done.

MG1- Have it be the origin of Big Boss that includes Eva, a young Ocelot, and his first mission obviously.

MG2- The introduction of Solid Snake on his first mission, Gray Fox, and have it end with Snake killing Big Boss. I am not sure if you should have the revelation of Big Boss being his father as I feel that kind of twist doesn't work too well these days. Add in Master Miller to MG2 as well.

MG3- Snake is brought out of retirement by Campbell to infiltrate Shadow Moses and fight Liquid.

MG4: Sons of Liberty storyline with a little bit more of Snake involved and it can introduce Raiden. They would just have to make him less whiney and less annoying in this one.

As much as I like your run down of the films...I don't like the idea of the first movie taking place almost entirely in the Jungle (which was Snakes first real mission). I almost want to say they keep the story, but completely change the location to keep it diverse. (the fanboy in me is screaming "NO!", but the movie goer in me says "YES!")

:)

Has the movie goer in you ever seen Rambo 1-4, Predator, Commando, Recue Dawn, ect...

Alrighty, I've been thinking about some things lately, and I've got a new (more like slightly tweaked) and improved cast.

Solid Snake - Christian Bale, no contest.
Liquid Snake - Either Christian Bale it they're shooting the same actor for both charas, or if it's separate, Aaron Eckhart or David Wenham.

Meryl - I've realized that Rachel McAdams isn't the best fit for Meryl (she could be a good EVA though), so I'm now going for Evan Rachel Wood, since she fits the age, isn't too girly, is very talented, and I just happen to really love her.

Though I still wouldn't rule out Emily Blunt, Kristen Bell, or Scarlett Johanssen.

Otacon - Still Cillian Murphy, because I really think there's no one better.

Naomi Hunter - Although Famke Janssen is a good fit for Naomi, I really think Rosamund Pike would be a great Naomi.

Colonel Campbell - Still either Martin Sheen or Chris Cooper

Mei Ling - I guess I could say any cute, young Asian girl who's fluent in English would do. I think Liu Yi Fei could do a fine job.

Nastasha - I still go with Anne-Marie Duff, though Vera Farmiga also is a good choice.

Sniper Wolf - Milla Jovovich is still my first choice, but now, I'm really in love with the idea of Kate Nauta as Wolf.

Psycho Mantis - Doug Jones
Vulcan Raven - Michael Clark Duncan (he's the only one I can think of. But definitely "NO" to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson)
Grey Fox - Ray Park
Revolver Ocelot - Even though I adore Gary Oldman, I do doubt he'd want to play Ocelot. Sam Elliot wouldn't be so bad, and neither would Rade Serbedzija, Geoffry Rush or even Clint Eastwood.
DARPA Chief - Dennis Haysbert would be perfect.
Kenneth Baker - I guess you can get any fat, old man for this part.
Jim Houseman - Again, just any old guy who bares some resembelence will do.

I think Bale is a fantastic actor, but I really don't think he is right for Snake.

Would Russell Crowe be a good fit for either Big Boss or Ocelot (check out those above pictures)? An actor will never be bigger than the role he is given. Think Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in TDK. If he can portray either character perfectly, there's no need to bring in Sam Elliot or any other older actor.

I believe the forces behind this movie and 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' and it's following sequels should collaborate and reveal at the end of the third G.I. Joe movie that Solid Snake was actually a member of G.I. Joe before it's disbanding. He simply went by a different codename while in G.I. Joe and of course went to Solid Snake when his protocol and objectives were changed.

If someone wants to change the direction life is going(into the ground) this is a spot to do it.

Make it so.

Ahhhh... the question is, which G.I. Joe (or Cobra) ends up becoming Solid Snake and why? I have my own idea but I'd like to see what others would think about a MAJOR plot twist in both storylines and what character they would peg from G.I. Joe as actually becoming 'the one' who becomes Solid Snake.

No - it's can't be Snake Eyes, he can't talk. Unless... unless... no, that's too much of a reach at this point. Just 'no' - it's not Snake Eyes.

Oh wait... I thought you were joking...

I'm no :hoboj: but Heath Leger's :hoboj: has expanded the possibilities of what can be done with traditional remakes and stories.

It's not as much of a reach as you may think. Let go of what you think to be the truth and just flow with all of existence.

Plus - I want you to let go for a sec so I can see what the hell you're clinging to in G.I. Joe and Metal Gear that is your precious, ya' filthy little golom you.

... Eh?

I have no love for G.I. Joe whatsoever, I never watched it as a kid nor played with the toys.

Metal Gear fanboy? Yes. I'll accept that title.

That plot twist would actually benefit G.I. Joe more than Metal Gear so - I can understand your disappointment with the idea.

Not many may approve of my idea for a new movie studio with a new concept. That concept is ~ One Movie~One Story~One Earth ~ . The actual product produced would have to be pretty damn spectacular though, not sure if it's even possible in my lifetime... but it has to be done.

It has to be done sooner or later. In order for humanity to advance to another level we must unify and solidify what we are doing as a people or risk it being lost. No one wants movies to go away, soooooooooooo - we must 'cross the streams' and unify all movies and make the story one so we can ALL see the big picture and advance as one.

Of course - it may already be done but we can't really discern whether it has been done or not because of lies and foolery. If it's not done, it has to be done but we don't know if it is done so why bother trying to do it if it is done.

And now I am done... because of lies and foolery!

Which brings me to another reason as to WHY this version of G.I. Joe and even the eventually forthcoming Metal Gear can't be right and will have to be remade/rebooted at least three more times.

It's because of the Joker. Seeing the two Joker heads there made me think - 'hmmmmm, two Jokers... TWO JOKERS!?! TWO JOKERS, OF COURSE!!!' But every deck of cards has four Jokers. We have seen the first three - Caesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger. Dare I venture to say - the best is yet to come?

With that in mind... oh crap - it's not in my mind anymore, it's on this page. Well... ummmm... uhhhhhh...

Will the REAL JOKER please stand up so 1 deck will be completed? :hoboj::hoboj::hoboj::hoboj:

I know what your thinking, each deck has only two Jokers. Not if your playing Spades. It's only fitting the favorite card game of criminals and delinquents is the official card game of the four Jokers.
------------------------
Don't let it die people, let it multiply.
------------------------
And don't envision the 4th Joker as black either or a woman. He's not Ripcord, for pity's sake. These are cherished characters of our planet, don't mess with the characters - just the story.
-------------------------
AND with that said... I'm not being hippocritical because WE CAN still make Solid Snake a member of G.I. Joe under a different codename because we aren't altering the character. We're just giving it more depth and adding to it.
-------------------------
Don't think I can work the Four Jokers subplot into the same storyline with G.I. Joe, Metal Gear, and Solid Snake? Fine. Stick with what you know and keep accepting your death in 74.3 years just like you were told. I'm going to attempt to do this. Put that in your pipe and smoke it founding fathers because I've got plans for you at my studio.

Uwe Boll are you off your medication again?

Here's a real question: How much control should Hideo "Metal Gear" Kojima have over this movie. I think writer and overall quality control would be nice.

He should be the executive producer. He loves movies, and I'm sure he'd love being close to the production of an MGS movie.
