I create this thread to post all the hopes and ideas for the character in the next sequels. Her relationship with Bobby, Gambit, the team, her powers...

Post all what you want.

I posted that manip, like an idea of how I see Rogue in the next sequels, her evolution to the Rogue all know, the one who will make Gambit falls in love with her.

She looks good.As for powers give her back her old ones but she can now control them and through the movie she absorbs and keeps another power. As for her and bobby they should already be broken up when the film starts and rogue has been away from the institute for 18 mths too 2 yrs and returns cause her powers have. She should meet gambit as he's working for what ever villian they have in the spin-off and have a flirtous relationship and have him join the school at the end and maybe end it with them doing more than flirting.

I personally think they should scrap the Ms. Marvel Rogue idea for Rogue
in the movie. They were already acting iffy about it when asked during the filming of X3. They should give Rogue her new Sunfire powers because in the comic, she had just recovered from losing them completely also.
In the comic she also killed Sunfire by mistake. They pushed him on her
in order for her to be able to fight off Lady Deathstrike. I heard they signed Kelly Hu for future films, maybe that can come into action?

And honestly, her powers would resemble that of the Human Torch, only better! :supes:

Rogue currently wields Sunfire's powers:
Solar Flare: Rogue's mutant powers enable her to absorb solar and other radiation to generate the process of ionized matter (usually air) through a mentally-triggered unknown biochemical process so that it is converted to plasma, the superheated state of matter. Plasma is the state in which matter making up the sun exists; hence, Rogue refers to her projecting “solar fire”. Hence she can sheath her body in flame.
  • Flight: can use her powers to create super-heated air currents which push her forward through the air, enabling her to fly. Sometimes this super-heated air is visible as a trail of flame behind Rogue. The upper limit to the speed Rogue can achieve in flight is not yet known, although it is known to be greater than that of the Angel, who can reach 150 miles per hour.
  • Plasma Blasts: ability to project the flames she generates at powerful blasts of energy.
  • Plasma Emanation: Rogue can generate plasma temperatures which match those that can be generated by the Human Torch, reaching about 1,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit at maximum level. She can also use her power in a massive blast similar to Johnny Storm's "Nova Burst". However, Rogue has much more control over the area of effect, enough to where one person may feel like they have been sunbathing all day to total incineration of another target.
  • Heat Signature Sense: ability to sense beings by the heat signature that they give off.
  • Plasma Shield: ability to manipulate the plasma around her to form an aura that can melt incoming bullets are stave off other attacks.
Solar Shielding Psi-field: She is protected from the radiation she emits by a short-range psionic force field which automatically comes into being whenever air friction, and also prevents excessive amounts of light from the plasma from reaching her eyes so as to blind or damage them. Rogue's body emits a protective field whenever she uses her powers. However, it is speculated that she can generate power in excess of her natural protection.

It would be so hot to see her do that on screen!

Well I would like to see her relationship grow with Bobby...
No Gambit please....
Here are some Rogue Spin-Off posters
I would like her to control her powers to...
And maybe get sunfire's power and her strength and flying abbility...

I'm sorry but Bobby is too much of a little boy for Rogue.
Notice she has a thing for Wolverine.
She needs that edge. Bobby is great with Kitty, to be honest.
Gambit is in demand, and if they picked the right bad boy to play
the part (cajun accent and all:) ), it would be hot.
Plus, Gambit flirts with Rogue all the time, it was cute to
see dem arguing because he always said he didn't care to kiss
her, even if he died, LOL.

I say Gambit is a GO:up:

I think that Rogue should stay at the school but have ended the relationship with Bobby, she shouldn'y have her powers straight away, maybe a thrird/half way through the film she would get them back. Personally, i'd rather see Rogue with Gambit than Bobby, bring Gambit in just after Rogue's powers manifest, maybe not staright into the X-men but introduce his character.

Exactly! Just introducing him would please many:up:

I liked Bobby/Rogue, movieverse. Movie Rogue didn't have much of an "edge" either so Bobby's quiet affection suited her well IMO. Kitty isn't great with Bobby either...I dunno. Keep Bobby, if Gambit's introduced, add him in as a love triangle candidate. Movie Bobby is more the sweet guy, Gambit would be the smoothtalker. Movie Rogue's not really as feisty as in the comics, so she could really have either one.

They bored me mindless.

Which exactly the problem. If Rogue returns to actually be in another movie - I want her to get an edge and darn quick or I just won't care. I'm sick of whimpy whiny movie Rogue. The giving up of her powers should throw her into being an outcast at Xavier's - something she obviously didn't put much thought into, and I love the idea of her leaving the place to go on another road trip and by extension that ending her relationship with Bobby. I'd start with her on the road and fill in what happened. Whoever said have her develop as a character, have her powers return and later meet up with Gambit sounds great to me. Actually if possible I'd have her meet up with Mystique first (hinting at their comic relationship) because of the lost of powers and spend some time together surviving maybe then meeting up with say Essex and Gambit. Then when they both regain their powers, Rogue has to make a choice on who she sides with ending up with her returning to the X-Men in a whole new standing and attitude. Go Rogue.

Kitty isn't great with Bobby either...I dunno.

Don't see why not. Kitty was cute and fun. They worked better for me that how whiny they made Rogue.

I see it more as angsty Rogue. I guess it all could have been stemming from her runaway past, and knowing that she alienates everyone she came to know, which was very few ppl. Rogue seemed more "brooding", which I enjoyed for movie purposes. In the comics I'm sure it's easier to make the characters a bit more "larger than life" sometimes, and in Rogue's case she was definitely more forward. I guess really in a sense movie and comic Rogue are two different characters, movieverse being the SHY southern belle. Also, I suppose in terms of powers too, movieverse is limited, so might feel a little more helpless without flying abilities and superstrength. Who knows.

I would put Kitty with Bobby just to act like as a s**disturber for their relationship. Makes it more fun. Which is ultimately what Gambit would do were he introduced, ack, but either way.

^^ which is what we SHOULd have seen in X3, but ultimately the focus was not really in continuing in the direction of the previous two movies. Rogue should have "become an Xman" by X3, and therefore kicked ass. X2 by the end, asking about the uniforms, flying the xjet, and even in the final scene with the president, it set everything up for her to really come out in battle and as an Xman. X3 sort of disregarded that. Hopefully X4 has her up and at 'em, since without jean and scott, they need some extra help lol.

I totally agree with you. Then they wonder why Rogue fans are so pissed.
She was setup to kick butt in part 3! I bet Singer would've done it!
Rogue is just so damn fly, and if Ratner was smart he would've made her look cool in X3 because she's the leader of the X-Men currently:up:

She's a bad b***h and is not given the credit she deserves.
Halle got whooped by Calisto:confused:
What da heck? Rogue would've been taking Juggernaut wall through wall,
blow to blow make 'em fall like dominoes! Thas what makes everyone like her in the comic, though now she doesn't have Ms. Marvel's power she still does huge damage. The funny thing about it is I have a feeling Rogue just might be close to gaining control of her powers. In the preview for the new
X-Men # 188 there are images of her touching Emma, then shooting beams from her eyes like Cyke:eek:

Ratner/Singer or whoever the heck remakes the next one needs to know that Rogue is up to bat. Wolverine and her were both main characters in the first flick. They should both end with their own spin offs in that case.:)

Watch Rogue become something crazy hot in the comics:up: :)

agreed... Rogue deserves more action... and pls also add gambit in x4... hehehe

If Rogue is in X4, the best direction to take her character would be to make her part of the Brotherhood. But if she still has lost her powers, that's difficult.

Rogue needs to be edgier. I liked the casting of Anna, at first, since it showed that Singer & the producers wanted Rogue to be more than eye-candy. But Rogue can't stay the Kitty/
Jubilee type character forever. It's boring. She needs to nearly kill someone.

The X-Men taking in Rogue in issue #171 is essential to what they stand for - that they're willing to accept an enemy who basically killed their friend for the sake of helping a fellow mutant. That's far more powerful than any Bobby/Rogue 'shipping.

^^ I think, based on what we've seen from the previous movies, a transition to the brotherhood would be a difficult, if not interesting set up. Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but just the way she has been portrayed in the movies and her character development so far has her, in my eyes, staying with the Xmen and growing there, in X4. Maybe she'd be better in the brotherhood, but she needs something strong to link these two steps together: it would be weird to see her all of a sudden resentful of the Xmen and then just join the brotherhood for X4. However, from X2-X3, there were alot of (mostly uncredible IMO) leaps and bounds in terms of plot and character (non) development, so who knows, it could work. Maybe she's "seduced" into joining the brotherhood, but I think if it were to happen, something should have been hinted at or taken in that direction in X3, so to set things up nicely. I agree about the Kitty/Jubilee type argument, and especially with the type of powers she has, coming close or actually killing someone would be an interesting situation with Rogue. MAybe for X4 she nearly or actually kills someone, or uses her powers on someone out of spite...then has an emotional overhaul and joins the brotherhood knowing that with these recent events, she can no longer consider herself an "XMan" or something. Once again, I wouldn't disagree with the idea of Rogue in the Brotherhood, I just think whoever writes up the storylines would have a lot to tweak, taking up from the mess of X3.

No it just wouldn't make sense for her to join the BH-plus with mags gone they wont be the BH they will be a#called something else, but I suppose if she has left the school and is traveling she could run into pyro.

I think it would be hot if she joined the Brotherhood.
It would give Rogue the edge she needs and would also stay sort
of loyal to the comics
It would also make sense being that now Mystique doesn't really
deal with Magneto. They can make them cross paths.
They can also slide Nightcrawler in there just to reveal some
more storylines to evolve these characters.
Rogue can run into Mystique afterwards.
They can have Mystique deal with Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, and others.
Rogue is so pissed and alarmed at the fact that the cure didn't work.
She could have kissed Bobby and made him pass out, then there can be a scene where she see's him in the hospital and leaves scared not knowing where to go(kind of like in X1). She runs into Mystique and decides to stay with her due to the love and comfort Mystique is showing her.
Plus she'll reveal she was her step mother.
I think it's a great idea. Rogue can gain her powers by killing someone,
then the X-Men forgive her and accept her back in the team.

I think Rogue should get her new powers when her old powers resurface.

you know, I keep hearing poeple say they want something like that to happen, how exactly would they work that in to a storyline, what, is she going to just happen to be holding on too (or making out with), some super powered person, when her powers return (if they do return), and she takes they power. lol

Rogue could start experiencing a return of her absorbtion powers and head back into the lab for another cure.

But this time the doctor at thre lab is actually Apocalypse in disguise who attempts to control her for his own purposes.

He allows the return of her own powers and then forces her into contact with some mutants with superstrength and flight abilities.

At first Rogue's under Apoc's control and beats on the x-men, but due to all of the voices in her head the brainwashing doesn't stick she and ends up fighting against him.

At least we'd finally get to see her do some major league butt kickin.

umm, interesting, concept. though, honest I can’t see Apocalypse being in any future movie. (not that I wouldn't want to see it) this concept storyline, could also work with it being Mystique, as her power would of returned as well (before rogues), and she wants to turn rogue super powered to use her to start up a brother hood or something.
just a thought

^^ true true. As far as the storylines are going (based on where the first 3 took everything), I dont really know how the writers would be able to fit in Apocalypse. Something with Mystique could work, and I can see her as being a very seductive and manipulative force that helps persuade Rogue to either join the brotherhood or just be in for some general nastiness. That is, provided that Mystique regains her powers and is back with the brotherhood (X3 sorta screwd everything up)

Great idea! And Angel could be controled too and become Archangel!
