Hi,
I have some difficulty understanding your writing. It's a good idea for a plot though and at least you have Gambit. But Gambit would never be part of the Evil Brotherhood of Mutants. He passionately hates Magneto. Gambit actually worked for Sinister because he helped him with his powers, but Sinister used him. And his steel pole is called a bo staff and it's made out of adamantium. You give Rogue a much more substantial part and that's great. If you can't tell already, I'm a big fan of Gambit and Rogue.

You just have to work on your grammar, do some more research so you really know the characters and the X-Men plots, and put the story into screenplay format. After you post a bit more, you can put your story into it's own thread.

Thanx Emmymae I am glad you thought it was great and Im sorry about the grammer I was just excited about the story to where I was just trying to type but like I said its a ruff draft and I can tell you are a wonderful fan of Gambit and Rogue and your right I will have to do more research on them both but although I know more about Rogue but I was trying to make up my own plot and story I was trying to dig into the comic books of the X-MEN and than again I was bassing it off of the third movie where it had last stand off. Plus the gambit idea about him being with the Brotherhood came from X-Men evolution and I thought that it would be easier to explain that with him and Rogue's hook up I also forgot to add that Rogue and Gambit end up leaving the Brotherhood and joinning back with the X-Men as they see that Magneto is truly a cold harted person who puts himself first before anyones and I let Rogue and Gambit see that. Plus Rogue and Gambit are both runnaways and plus Gambit is a theift. But thank you so much Emmymae and I am still working with it though. I also tried to keep it updated with the X-men comics and trust me its harder making a movie of the X-men than making a comic book so I TIRED.

Writing a screenplay is hard work. Gambit could just appear out of nowhere one day and run into Rogue on the street and buy her dinner or like the comic book, rescue Storm and have her offer to have him join the X-Men. He doesn't have to be a member of the Brotherhood. How's the progress on your story?

And to the rest of you. Do you have any more thoughts about what should happen in future X-fims or about StormX-Fan2007's screenplay?

Appart from the comicverse...the movieverse was ok...until X3.
The makers mad the mistake to think that all sequential movies nowaday are always triologies.
So they trashed the story in the third part.
To many major characters were depowered or killed.
I would cry out for a reboot.
But if they should stick to the continuity they should...
-bring back Cyclops.
-stick to Patrick Stewart as Prof X somehow
-recast Storm and give her some background
-powerup Rogue (flight, superstrength)
-bring back Nightcrawler
-skip Beast and Angel
-undo the "cure" for Magneto and Mystique
-give more movietime to Kitty and Collossus (and Iceman)
-use the Hellfier Club as the major villains(Shaw&Frost)
-use Pyro and Juggernaut(perhaps Multiple Man) as Hellions(to stick to established characters, instead of bringing in new ones)
-use more hero-costums(spandex), like Storms full sexy outfit...mask for Logan, etc.
-leave out Gambit(!!!)
-give Sabretooth are better outfit and flesh him out

All the improvements you think... In terms of the script, the effects, the characters, all.

I believe that some of the major characters of the X-MEN need to be revealed like Apocalypse, Mister Sinister, Gambit, and Cable. Their are good reasons to have a younger X-MEN lineup and also good reasons to have the traditional lineup but I believe that X-MEN fans are going to be more familiar with the older lineup like Wolverine, Colossus, Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, and last but not least Professor X. After XMEN 2 I would have said Nightcrawler but after XMEN 3 it is all about Beast. He was the breakout star of XMEN 3! The casting of Kelsey Grammar as Beast was genius!

For starters the series has gotten too bloated. There are so many different mutants running around right now that it is hard for the non-fans to recognize who is who. I have no problem with having a number of generic background mutants, but it really has gone overboard with characters like Callisto, Juggernaut, Colossus, etc., being semi-important but not actually doing anything to have us care about them. The first thing that needs to be done is to actually come up with a distinctive X-Team and focus primarily on them as characters. Whether some of the characters need to be recast or not is of no concern.

My choices...

1) Wolverine - He's too popular not to be there and the three previous films have been as much Wolverine movies as X-Men movies.

2) Emma Frost - With Jean dead (and she should stay that way) we need a new female lead and potential love interest for Logan. It makes perfect sense to use her in the role.

3) Storm - One of the established old guard. She's here because there needs to be somebody else at Logan's level or near it and she's a better choice than Beast.

4) Iceman - Along with Wolverine & Jean, he's surprisingly been the most developed X-Man in the films thus far and we need some representation from the younger generation.

5) Shadowcat - She hasn't had near the development of Iceman, but she still pretty much fulfills the role of his female counterpart.

6) Nightcrawler - A distinctive and popular character that fulfills a unique role and can bring a different dimension to the film with his Catholic background.

Six members. Three men, three women, and their personalities and characters match well together. Xavier can come back, but Cyclops & Jean Grey have abused to the point that they are better off dead. Its time for the franchise to move on from that.

As for the tone, after the last film, I would suggest a simpler, darker, more realistic story, which leaves out the larger than life villains like Apocalypse or Sentinels. Magneto has his own movie and the audience probably needs a break from him here (actually, I wouldn't mind seeing Magneto end up as a good guy in a future film). Weapon X has been done. With that said there is one obvious choice for the villains of the next film, the Hellfire Club.

Rogue's story with regards to the film has been told, plus she's too young. The idea with Frost is that she is somebody who can be a match for Logan. I do like the idea of her starting with the Hellfire Club and turning good towards the end though. Accuracy to the comics really isn't what concerns me as much as telling a good story and being true to the spirit more than the content of the books (like Batman Begins or Spider-Man 2).

I thought of choosing Colossus, but went with Nightcrawler instead as I think more can be done with him as a character. Colossus for Frost isn't really a switch that would work as they both would fulfill very different roles.

Beast is another character that was one of the highlights of The Last Stand, but I think it would be better with just ending his arc at the UN rather than drag him back to the X-Men again.

Things can change further into the series, but after The Last Stand the next film should really be smaller and more personal and I'm trying to choose a team that reflects that.

How about a movie actually based on the comics? This is not Batman we're talking about. It doesn't need more darkness and realism. I didn't read the X-Men for the realism and I don't want that in the movie. The Spiderman films weren't dark like the first two Batman films. Batman Begins actually had a good deal of light in it. They should have Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse, the Hellfire Club isn't as interesting and they're not really villians, they just have their own selfish agenda with no regard for how they affect anyone else. There's a way to make the fantastic accessible. No spandex, no masks, characters actually being portrayed as the way they are, and please, give me Gambit for once. He's way too interesting to not be in the movies.:heart:

...because they can't bring the Rogue-Lovestory with it.
The movieverse Rogue is to young for that plot and the spot had already been given to Iceman.
