The Official Patty Jenkins IS the director of Wonder Woman!

Yeah, well, Goyer needs to go away. Go Away Goyer for DC, and Freaking Avi Arad at Sony. I don't care the good that was done in the past (and I'm talking pre-TDK Trilogy). The good is over, I don't mind his involvement in TV (Constantine is fantastic) but stay away from the movies plz.

I love Geoff Johns though, to me he would be the ideal "Kevin Feige" if there ever was a DC Studios.

Blah....blah.....blah.....stop being repetitive and redundant.

I still can't believe that a WW movie is actually happening. With so many starts and stops over the years, I'm still a little shocked that WB seems to be finally doing it.

Yeah. WB's/DC have no "plan" remember? :o

good morning. so it was not a dream? they hired a an experienced female director who knows how to writte and direct?

Hard not to be excited about this.

Especially since WB gave what is likely to be a sizeable project to a relative unknown with the general public/moviegoers.

Interesting approach, and looking forward to seeing what it yields.

Don't be so harsh on Goyer, your idol James Gunn has written some crappy movies too:

I guess he should get away before he ruins GOTG too. :o

BTW, GOTG doesn't deserve the 10 you gave it. Opinions are subjective of course, but a movie with dumb juvenile humour and a weak villain is far, far from perfect. Anyway, all this shows nothing is guaranteed, many talented writers and directors have done some bad movies, it doesn't mean they can't do a good movie again. All we can do is have faith they will get it right next time.

Yes, it's hard....but it's okay to be a little excited. WB's had a lot of meetings with her. A confidence and comfort level has been established and she will also help write the script from what it seems.

MacLaren is a talent no doubt. Her jump to the big screen was inevitable.

I hope she borrows heavily from Azzarello's run. His series is what made me give a damn about Wonder Woman.

I hope she borrows from the animated WW movie as well, as that is a good starting place. If she has everything that has and more, then we would be in for a treat.

I don't want it to be like how the Venom episodes of SM:TAS were better than Spider-Man 3.

Oh, yes, that too.

Excellent choice of director. I've liked all of the stuff Malaren has done on Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, bad place on Wheels and The Leftovers. Can't wait to see what she cooks up with Diana.

Probably because 90% of your fan casting, whether its director or actor, are 'really really bad choices'
You have no idea what you're talking about. Sorry to tell you that.
I'm not the "every half naked sexy woman suits WW" or "Aaron Paul would be great for a lot of superheroes" guy.

I'm not the one who suggest the recent flavour of the month director for all the major DC and Marvel characters either.

you're the guy who suggests the 7th heaven guy for a character that is currently escaping me, no?

What's wrong with a 7th heaven guy when a few people actually wanted to se a 7th heaven girl as Wonder Woman?

I'm neutral on the choice. I know little about the director or her work. But I'll be sure to check out the episodes she directed on GoT. The only really epic episodes from the show I remember were directed by Neil Marshall. Like Gal I'll give her a chance but I'm not excited by her selection. Until they start shooting this movie i am holding my excitement. The positives are we have a director and lead. Things will hopefully start moving quickly.

This post is full of truth... but everyone is entitled to his/her opinion... just I see odd when they come with the hyperbole when they want.

Now get back to Wonder Woman.

Great choice based on her past work such as Game of Thrones and Walking Dead. They have both the actress and director set, now they need a writer who can understand the WW mythos.

They need some comic advisors to help with the script and to understand WW.
