Wow, great choice IMO. Now let's get Jon Hamm as Sinestro, and Dennis Quaid as "Pipe", and Doug Jones as Abin Sur

Hector is no cookie-cutter in the first draft of the Script. Among other things, he...

... Tries to rape his assistant, tortures his boss, murders his own father and tries to commit mass murder two times with near-successful ressults.

Sounds almost shakespearean :woot:

Loved his work in Garden State. Great choice.

Dude! Wha...I see Reynolds and Lively worrying but Skarsgard is solid. Hammond the character is ridiculous though.

When you stack the choice up against Kevin Spacey, Ledger, or Neeson, he finishes last in regards to acting chops and recognition in my opinion. That being said, if he nails the role, then there are no complaints for anybody.

well i cant wait to see how he does as hector. So what look do you think they will go for him in the movie? Also how old is peter?

I honestly don't know if they'll make his head bigger. You don't really need to make his head bigger to put across the idea that his intelligence just quadrupled.

i think they'll downplay his head size a little.

They might give him glowing eyes with veins on his skin. But at thing at the end of the movie, I'm sure it'll be huge.

Yea I think they might downplay the size as you say. And yea maybe have his head sorta, pulsating. That would still give out a nice, gross effect.

yeah, when he's defeated, I can see him being the egghead that we all know and love.

Sinestro is the archenemy, so his casting matters a lot more. I really hope they get someone who nails it.

In the first draft of the Script...

... Hector starts out normal and his head starts to grown, but nothing too big. In the beginning of the second act, he forces his powers too much and his head gets bigger, with pulsating veins and, in the end of the second act, it gets even bigger and he can't use his body anymore. By the end of the movie, he's exactly like the comics. :awesome:

That actually sounds awesome. Like a gradual growth. Not just BOOM massive head.

Something I find interesting is that they seem to have made Hector's origin more comic book accurate, with him being an military pathologist who comes across Abin Sur's ship and gets his powers by exposing himself to the meteor within. This makes me happy. :awesome:

Yeah, it's very gradual. The scene where his head grows bigger is very gruesome too, with his scalp being breached and bleeding all over his face. :wow:

If I remember correctly Sinestro isn't much of a villian this time around, at least from what I remember of the draft.

yea i guess that would be best to play with hector's head deal.

That is the case from what i've heard too. But they re obviously setting him up to become evil in the future. I heard that the movie will hint at his lust for the yellow power and discontent at the Guardians of the Universe for how they handle things.

When Hammond's head gets huge, it could easily be hilarious. They have to play it as gruesome and disgusting to get the right effect. Make people repulsed to look at it. I'm not saying go hardcore R rated, but push it further than the scarred Dent. Just make people cringe at the sight of it.

Its a big head. What more can they do than add some veins to it? I hope its not gruesome because that will be like every other movie where the guy's head becomes large before it explodes.

In the first draft of the Script, when Hector's head gets bit, it growns inside his skull, piercing his scalp and smearing blood all over his face, while the veins in his forehead pulsate and he screams in agony. Its very gruesome.
