TV Guide reports that Sarah Wayne Callies will not be returning to Prison Break.

The mother-to-be was expected to return as Dr. Sara Tancredi for the third season of the FOX series, but that doesn't seem to be the case:


We already knew that Callies was MIA from the opening credits in the first two episodes and that, for the one scene in which Dr. Sara appeared, a body double was used. But nonetheless, trusting souls that we are, we believed the mom-to-be still had a job. Well, no more. There's a story here, and you're gonna get it.

The series returns with new episodes on September 17.

hmm, doesn't fit to me. Sarah is too important to just drop and kid or none, she is under contract and wouldn't risk a law suit by breaking it to avoid at least a few days shooting to give the character closure.

Damn, i love Sarah. I respect where she's coming from though, maybe motherhood is just top priority.

Can't wait to find our the significance of SONA.

What can the fans expect from Season 3 of Prison Break?

Amaury Nolasco: First of all, they're in for a ride, again. Season 3 is based in the realm of Midnight Express. It's based on a lawless prison. There's no guards. There's no... it's survival of the fittest. We've got characters like T-Bag (Robert Knepper), Mahone (William Fichtner)... they're all inside. We've got characters like Lincoln and Sucre outside trying to find a way to break out these guys. We've got Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and LJ (Marshall Allman) being kidnapped as leverage to make Michael do what the conspiracy people want him to do inside of the prison. There's a reason why they put him inside that prison. It's the worse prison there is in Panama, where they put all the biggest criminals. Again, the writers are just pushing the envelope with stories that will blow your mind.

I can't wait til next week. I just re-watched the finale last night. It was great. It should be fun to see Mahone and Michael forced to team up.

I also watched last nights eps, and noticed that they mentioned sending some of the money to Westmoreland's daughter.

She might just be taking the year off. There really isn't that much of a point to having her around this season (which seems like the main focus will be on Linc and Sucre trying to break Michael, Billeck, Mahone, and T-Bag out of Sona). Really not much for Sarah to do in that plot. I expect this season to be much more focused like the first season. In the first year, the only main plot was the Fox River escape, with maybe 10-15 minutes an episode devoted to Veronica. I expect this year to emulate that and if thats the case, Sarah doesn't really fit in.

Not to mention, she just had a kid and probably wants to spend time with it. I'm guessing she'll be back in at least a recurring role before the year is out, and a regular again next year.

I seriously doubt he's alive. Simply because the actor that plays him is now on another show.

What am i most looking forward too? The actual where abouts of Maricruz, and if Bellock really is the one responsible for her disappearance. I think there's more to that than meets the eye...

...and if the money will come into play again this season. It was dumped in the river at the end of last season by Kim.

Well it is the Grey's Anatomy spinoff. So chances are it will stay on. And it would be more shocking if he appeared late in this or next season (like in The X-Files or 24). They kept the option, they may not have an idea how to use him but if the situation comes up where Paul could return they can work something out.
