Prison Break Baddie Joins Heroes
Source:The Hollywood Reporter
June 4, 2009

Robert Knepper, who played Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on Fox's "Prison Break," has been tapped as the new lead villain on NBC's "Heroes" next season, says The Hollywood Reporter.

In at least six episodes of the series' fourth season, Knepper will play Samuel, a Jim Jones type -- charismatic but evil, with a twisted sense of humor -- who will veer into the lives of all heroes.

The character had been referred to as "Carnival Barker" in the series breakdown released last month. Filming for "Heroes" will start again later this week.

As a big fan of Robert Knepper on Prison Break, this actually makes me excited for season 4. The dude is a great actor who can play villains that you end up rooting for even if they are all kinds of bad. I guess when the character gets an official name, they can rename this thread.

Sounds nice. I'm sure he's going to be a great villain... for the first six or so episodes, right up until Sylar inevitable steals the spotlight again.

The way they are making this sound with him being a "jim jones" type character and the talk of a carnivale-esque storyline are making me pumped. This is it fellas last chance if they **** this season up I dont think they will have a 5th. But this is great casting and Im really interested in his character let alone the fact that he was IN Carnivale as well

Haven't seen him in anything yet but this sounds promising.

Jim Jones? Like, the cult leader-mass suicide guy?

I was a big fan of Robert in Prison break and this has me pumped for Season 4. He is a great villian and it seems to me he sounds like Heroe's version of the Joker I could be wrong though.

Even when Prison Break was at it's worst, T-Bag was consistently always good, in large part due to Knepper. He should be if nothing else, fun to watch as he takes bad dialogue and makes it entertaining. That said, he will only be fun until Sylar inevitably regains his memory and kills him.

Then, of course, Sylar's the big villain of the volume AGAIN. This show has become painfully predictable.

Now all they need to do is NOT KiLL KNEPPER!! Hell prolly die in like the 6th ep or sumthin though

This news is all I need to get excited for the new season. :)

IDK who Robert Knepper is, but I like the characterization of his, well, character, "...charismatic but evil, with a twisted sense of humor..."---I like

so is it official, will Sylar be the villain AGAIN?

Knepper plays a great villain, can't wait. Hope he doesn't lose momentum as a character in the same way that Dankow did imo...

They need to brink back the corporation and have a holding facility for villians so they don't have to die off so easily.

I like Knepper, but I haven't watched any of heroes this season. It's all backed up on my Tivo. Eventaully boring and predictable Sylar is gonna kill him and take his power. I'm truly hoping this Knepper's chacter is powerful enough to take on Sylar and not be bulldozered over like everyone else, but hearing that the guy is only a temp cast member I already know the outcome.

Knepper was upgraded to main cast member before the show started. He has been in every episode so far.

They only hinted at how powerful he was in the beginning but now it looks like he might be the most powerful character on the show and will most likely be the main threat.
