Yes, it also very clearly said "First on PS4." I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a PC and Xbone eventual release tomorrow at Square's conference.

I do think this sort of puts it into perspective.

Microsoft gives us ****ing backwards compatibility. Sony gives us something the PS3 can do... but it ain't playing PS3 games.

From what I understand that's simply not possible. The architectures are too different.

But PS2 emulation should certainly be possible.

It's not an issue to bring it up here and again (and with MS's BC announcement I understand it's something to talk about now), but I really don't want to see nothing but constant backwards compatibility talk in here all the time. Just thought I'd let that be known. I think we know the deal now, but I just don't want "***** enough" to translate to "***** all the time, every time, 'til the end of time."

Also, I figured you guys would be celebrating these damn media features in here. Lord knows it's been brought up enough.

Well, it's understandably on people's mind in light of it happening on the Xbone.

Personally, I think the issue is settled. Sony can't do it. Hence PS Now.

i don't know if it is a matter of not being possible. at the end of the day the cell was piece of tech with a max computing power which Ps4 surpasses. it's probably just not worth it to them.

They've sunk a lot of time and money into that.
