Disney Interactive is bringing Super Star Wars which was originally made for Super Nintendo to PlayStation 4. Two limited edition Darth Vader themed PS4 bundles will include a voucher to download Super Star Wars plus PS4 versions of three PS2 games – Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, and Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter. All four games will have enhanced graphics plus trophies.

The PlayStation 4 bundle includes a Darth Vader PS4 with a 500 GB hard drive, a special controller, a voucher for the four Star Wars games, and either Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition or Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars plus a figure pack that includes Boba Fett.

So I'm still wondering if Sony will announce a 1TB PS4 for the US in time for Black Friday, but now I'm considering just swapping pout the drive for a 2TB hard drive. Any recommendation on which ones I should look into. I'm cutrrently saving to buy a PS4 in November so I'd like to have a general idea of which drive I should get so I can know how much more I'd need to spend.

the light on the console changes colors. If you have a red light, that means your console has malfunctioned and I dont think you'd want that

I honestly didn't even know 2tb was an option, but from some research I've done online, I've seen people claim they were about to get a 6TB drive to work.

Well the biggest issue in any case is if you install your own drive and it craps ouyt, neither Sony nor the company of the Hard Drive is required to replace it since tampering is against the warranty policy.

are you sure? the Ps4 was designed to have a user replaceable HD, I don't think upgrading it voids the warranty

What I'm saying is if you buy a Seagate or WD hard drive and it fails, Sony is not required to replace it because its not their hardware. I don't think it would destroy the system itself, and I'd imagine you could just put the 500gb drive back in, but WD and Seagate won't replace the drive because they state that you're not support to open it up or something.

There's no such thing as a 6tb 2.5 HDD (which is needed to fit inside the PS4). The highest those go is 3tb and thats something newly created this year. A person that has 6tb must be using that Nyko external attachment which can support standard size HDDs

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will host its “PlayStation Media Preview” Paris Games Week press conference on Tuesday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m. CEST (9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET).
The event, which will feature Media Molecule’s Dreams among other new PlayStation 4 game announcements, will be hosted at the Espace Grande Arche in Le Parvis de la Défense.

New Attack On Titan Game Will Let You Fight Like Levi If You Got The Skills. August 18, 2015 . 8:07am

Koei Tecmo’s new Attack on Titan game will pit you against a bunch of Titans, and while it will require some strategy, you could get away with slicing and dicing like Levi if you’re skilled enough.

Koei Tecmo’s Warriors studio Omega Force is working on a new Attack on Titan project that is in development using the PS4 as a base. During an interview with Famitsu, producer Hisashi Koinuma and director Tomoyuki Kitamura shared some of the latest details on the game. [Thanks, Hachima.]

Koinuma says that the Musou or Warriors series tends to put you in “one against many enemies” situations, but for Attack on Titan he wants to make it into something different, along the lines of “many [humans] against an enemy [Titan]” situations instead. He’s also thinking about adding more tactical elements than with your regular Musou titles.

As far as the action goes, Kitamura says that its movement will be more comfortable than the Warriors games.

“The part that we ought to focus more on is about ‘how to make it feel good while flying around using the 3D Maneuver Gear?’ and we’ve redone this system numerous times,” adds Koinuma.

He goes on to explain that since Attack on Titan is a popular IP, they’ll need to make it into a game that even players that don’t often play games can play with ease. For this reason, they’re focusing on simplifying the 3D Maneuver Gear so that even beginners can play it.

However, it doesn’t mean that it will be a simple hack-and-slash altogether, as Kitamura explains, “players that are used to play games, or should I say ‘Warriors play,’ will get a feeling like they’re Captain Levi right from the start.

“There are high risks if you try to immediately go for the back of their necks, so it’ll be an effective tactic to start out by destroying their limbs,” the director adds. “Although, I don’t think it’d be impossible to have those who are used to action games be able to take them out in one blow.”

Kitamura also says that the main mode will let you relive the original story in the main mode. They’re thinking about making a “sub-mode” on the side, that will highlight the characters that don’t have much of an appearance in the original show, or something with more action from the original story.

The Attack on Titan game will launch in Japan, North America, and Europe in 2016 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Its development is currently 50% complete.

Sony Computer Entertainment America and Europe have opened sign-ups for the PlayStation 4 system software beta program.



“Before we launch our next major system software update, we’re running a beta program to test its functionality,” Sony said in a PlayStation Blog post. “If you’d like to get a sneak peek at the features of the new system software, and help us with feedback on ways to improve it, sign up today.”
Interested applicants can sign-up here (NA) / here (EU).


Beta testers will be able to roll back to the previous PS4 system software update (v2.57) anytime.


The beta program will begin in “early September” in North America, and more specifically September 2 in Europe. More information on the new features included in the upcoming update will be released at that time. (Though, many details have already leaked.)

Koei Tecmo’s Attack On Titan Game Includes The Entire Story From The Anime. August 21, 2015 . 5:56am


Koei Tecmo’s new Attack on Titan game will feature all the content that was shown in the 2013 anime, in addition to extra scenarios for its many characters. It will also have destructable environments

Koei Tecmo revealed the latest details on their upcoming Attack on Titan game for PS4, PS3, and Vita, in addition to new high resolution screenshots with no watermarks in their recent press release.



According to Koei Temco, Attack on Titan is being developed with a “Physics Toon-Shader” to give it more of an animated look to match the anime, where you’ll get to check out its world as if you were watching the show.

The main mode of the game will have all the content that was shown in the 2013 anime, with other parts on the side with the addition of numerous scenarios that highlight its many characters.





While keeping the world from the original story intact, the game will also have its own parts for you to explore. There will be numerous characters from the original work make an appearance in the game, and they’ll all be voiced by the same voice actors from the show.

As previously detailed in their earlier interview, the developers are focusing on simplifying the 3D Maneuver Gear’s gameplay, so that even beginners can play it, but skilled players will get to take on Titans with fancier moves like Levi would, by aiming for the back of their necks.

One of their key focus is to give players freedom of movement, while enjoying the strategic elements behind taking on giant bosses. During combat in town, you’ll see things like walls and roofs of buildings get destroyed while fighting the Titans, which will have an impact on your surroundings and how to play around it.

Attack on Titan is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Koei Tecmo aim to release the game this winter in Japan, and in 2016 for the West.
