ESRB Confirms Final Fantasy VII for PS3, PSP.

Released last month on PlayStation Network in Japan, Final Fantasy Vee-Eye-Eye is on the way to North America's PSN soon, as this ESRB rating now confirms. You can play it on PS3 or PSP.

FFVII came out 12 long years ago for the original PlayStation, and was the first of the series to feature 3D graphics. Groundbreaking doesn't begin to describe its influence.

I dont think RE1 holds up well over time. I tried to play it 2 years ago and I didnt realize just how bad the controls and voice acting was in that game. Loading times also were pretty bad

Yeah, I can't help but agree. I sat down and tried to play some of the older PS1 games and, wow, I had such a hard time playing it. The controls and camera were something I remember having problems with back in the day, nowadays it's near impossible to do.

I don't know, though. I know a few people that can still go back and play them today. I really don't know how they do it, but they can

To be honest, I wasn't going to buy RE1 off the store.....but then you reminded me about putting it on my PSP. Having Castlevania: Sotn and Twisted Metal 2 have been awesome for long road trips. You have tempted me to buy it, but I think I'm going to hold out and see what else Capcom puts up first. There are other Capcom franchises that that money would go to first for me like a Megaman X.

Awesome for those who haven't played it. I still have a Greatest hits version tho that I bought after my original disk got too scratched up a looong time ago. However this is awesome news in general because it means Square IS FINALLY interested and putting effort into releasing their RPG's on the PSN. So I'll just set here impatiently as I wait for FFVIII and Xenogears to get the same treatment.

Oops, didn't specify, meant they are finally interested in putting their RPG's up on the US store. Yeah, I've known about the tons of great PS1 games on the Japan store for awhile. I've looked there a few times.

You haven't played it yet? If it does come to the US store you're in for a treat then. Not only is the story great, but if I remember right there's voice acting, anime cut scenes, and even the turn based gameplay had a good change up.

Nope, I never got to play. I had never heard of it until it had already faded out. I thought about getting a copy off eBay, but even the Greatest Hits version is too high for a PS1 title in my opinion.
