The Official Pull List Discussion thread

Bored, if you like Batman: The Animated Series and a more down to earth Batman that doesnt involve silly concepts such as him having a kid and ninja Man-Bats, hell if you like comic books that are deserving of hype, Detective COmics is for you.

But you could always buy both and choose yourself.

After flipping through the new issues of batman I sort of wish he wnet back to being an ass. The way Grant writes batman nows sort of bothers me. Thankfully he will be taking a break and I can jump on those two issues then leave when Grant returns. I also added 4 new books to my pull list.

You're just not old school, man. :(

Hell, I could even send Bored a sample of each if he'd like. It really is about what type of story you prefer. I love that comic book-y, 70s throwback stuff, and Morrison's books at the moment play right into that. If you're more for the gritty, realistic stuff, then that's what Detective and Checkmate are for.

I dont think Detectives is overly realisitc either. Look at the last issue and harvest.

By the way, I love all the old school Neal Adams 70's Batman stuff, you know, beofre Frank Miller came along and ruined Batman for good and all.

So you're anti-Millar, Morrison, and Miller? Ho boy. :o

In any case, you seem a bit stressed, man. You should relax, get yourself an adult beverage or mid-to-high class asian prostitute.

I cant afford that type of action, and I dont hate Morrison, far from it. Im pretty sure I hate Frank Miller. As for Millar, hes ok.:oldrazz:

GL #7-9 were frickin awesome.I loved the way Hal interacted with Ollie and Bats.

Actually, Batman and The Mad Monk is quite moving into my favorite Batman book being put out currently. Early years of Batman. Fits into the continuity of Batman: Year One and The Long Halloween. And it's a freakin' crazy ass Batman villain. I'd highly recommend this bad boy.

You should drop all of those, keep F4 because McDuff is coming onboard.

Dc-Wise,add Green Lantern.Personally,I think you could do away with Supes Confidential and add either All Star Superman and Detective Comics.I love Cooke, but how many times do we really need these backtrack Superman stories?

Oh yea,I dropped Moon Knight.Sorry Darth :(

Really, the arc had one more issue left, seems like a pretty dumb spot to drop the title.

I'm about to post my list. Get ready:(

Meh,I'd rather spend that 3.75 on another book instead of feeling obligated to buy the last one just because.

I added Green Lantern(which has been effing kickass) so I had to drop one title. There's no way I'm dropping Cap,DD or Hulk right now either, with the exception of the CW tie-ins.

I think another reason I'm getting into more DC,besides loving off the JLU cartoon from beginning to end, is because with this whole CW thing, alot of the books have a real depressing and misery filled tone to them. That's just me,but I'm really looking for some stories which were a bit more lighter and where the lines between good and bad were well defined.Don't get me wrong,CW is still good and #4 showed that, but when it spills into almost every other book,it get's dull.

It's times like these I really wished The Thing was still around.

Marvel:Civil War,Captain America,Daredevil,Hulk,Ultimates 2

DC:Justice,All Star Superman,Detective Comics,Green Lantern,Superman,Justice League of America

Adding:Punisher War Journal,Iron Fist, and Justice Society of America.

Brave and the Bold is sounding awesome but there's no news on when the damn thing will hit.
