The Official Pull List Discussion thread

His complaint seems to be about breakdowns and the coloring, both of which are highlights of the book. The panel structure is pretty straight forward most of the time, but the stylistic choices of the arrangement are always a plus IMO. Honestly, its not like this is JH WIlliams III doing breakdowns. The coloring is dark, because its supposed to be that way. Its a dark, gritty, violent comic. Its ****ing ridiculous to complain about something, when its purpose is exactly the reason its done that way.

It pretty much sums up the post i was going to make about why he doesnt like All Star Superman.

Reminds me of the time someone was complaining about the action scene in CW #3 being colored too red.I mean seriously? They were surrounded by fire in the dark of night, what the hell were you expecting?

Sucks that JLA is being delayed, issue #1 was pushed back a week I dont know if that has anything to do with that.

Snakes on a Plane #2, whats the point really?

Aquaman has been consistently late, I wonder if that has to do with the art.

Superman being delayed is odd.

Teen Titans is always late.

Wonder Woman #3, is that just the bi-monthly move or is is delayed again?

I'm sure Moon Knight would be great if it got less artsy an' actually PROGRESSED. I'm sick of decompression.

Aquaman has basically been late because the series was very late when it was green-lit.

They were basically two months behind when they started it - so they havn't done too badly dispite that.

True that. Busiek and Guice wanted to release it two months later than it did and make it a relaunch.

Infinite Crisis HC and Invincible being delayed sucks, but at least that lightens my week, it was going to be a wallet disaster.:(

You said it. Mine STILL is. I'm debatin' if I'm gonna use my excess comic funds to empty my bag or save 'em fer another time.

Darth, was it ever mentioned how long Busiek and Pacheco will be on Superman?

Superman #659 (the December issue) has Kurt Busiek and Rick Leonardi.

But I'm not sure if Pacheco will be back on for #660.

I really enjoy Pacheco's work.

I'm adding Superman Confidential, The Spirit and Justice Society of America to my pull list.

I skipped over Checkmate yesterday. I'm not really sure why, I just didn't feel compelled to buy it.

Though I did buy Blade and immeditaly regretted that and wanted to have Checkmate instead. And I don't really even like Checkmate.

Checkmate was awesome this week, except for the fact that it made it seem like Alan's dismissal would be permanent. :(

I want to go buy it but I'm pretty nasty right now and by the time I get to my store after a shower it's going to be closed :(

Definatly will pick it up next week though.

For as much as I can't seem to get into Checkmate, I'm planning on buying it until it gets cancelled. I was on a pretty tight budget this week though :(

Cause honestly, I don't see how the sales of that book can be very high :-/

Why not? It's a little esoteric, but people seem to dig political comics. Plus, the current arc's all about the Suicide Squad, which was popular back in the day.

Yeah, they were featured in a JLU episode. I think they were referred to by their official name, Task Force X, there.
