The Official Pull List Discussion thread

It not that bad, its not like they all come out at the same time.
Oh no, I don't mean the length of your list - I buy just as many myself. It's just like every single one of the titles you listed as ones you'd drop just happen to be the absolute best titles Marvel's publishing at the moment. :o

Man, I'm actually worried about some of these book's numbers, Checkmate, She-Hulk, Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighter.

5 of my favorite comics
Exiles
New Avengers
New X-Men
X-men
Ultimates

5 of my least favorite comics
Cable/Deadpool
Captain America
Daredevil
X-Factor
Immortal Iron Fist

You kinda notice the difference in styles between my favs and least favs. The art in my least favs are all very similar except for Cable/Deadpool, plus some of them are also kinda political and government oriented, which is not my cup of tea.

Are you suprised though, I dont remember to many ads for Checkmate or Uncle Sam.

Um, if the title is going to deal with Civil War how could you NOT expect there to be guest stars?

Marvel is really mucking up on MK.The title was fine without other guest stars. Now they decide to include it with CW and replace Finch halfway thru the arc with a pencilier of a totally different style.Way to go.

And yes...Uncle Sam is a badass book more people need to be reading.

Have you seen his pages though. Moon Knight is in good hands.

Yes!Another Filipino representing!

His pages look pretty good.Gotta wait until coloring and inks are done.I can see Miki and D'Armata working wonders with this new guy.

Does it really matter with Freedom Fighters? It's only a mini.

Which X-Factor artist are you talking about? The new one's quite different from the previous two, and a lot more like the art in the book's you like...IMO, at least.

If it sold well, they pretty much had to make it an ongoing.:csad:

And I didn't buy it because it was only a mini. :(

I'm talking about the first 2, yes I'm personally glad there is a new artist.

You'll love the trade.
I'm sure. Jonah Hex has really turned me onto Palmiotti and Gray. I've got Battle of Bludhaven, Heroes for Hire, and Freedom Fighters all on preorder. :o

I love Ryan Sook's art personally, but yeah, the second guy's art was pretty crummy.

The numbers for Iron Fist scare me.I mean,I know it's just #1,but alot of Marvel's recent relaunches have all debuted in the top 30 to 40.The fact that it's sitting at #56 scares me that this book will suffer the same fate as The Thing.

A lot of people say that Battle for Buldhaven sucked, and they wouldn't be all that wrong. I thought it was okay in some places but over all you'd be wise to skip it. I could spoil the ending for you if you'd like.

Jonah Hex is another title not selling jack ****.

And God, it should be. It's been fantastic since issue #1.

My 2007 List (bold indicates uncertainty about whether to continue, italics indicate new stuff):

Ongoing Series:

Astonishing (onboard since #1)
Captain America (onboard since #22)
Omega Flight (I'll check it out when it starts; support the home team)
New X-Men (onboard since #20)
Uncanny X-Men (onboard since #475)
X-Factor (onboard since #13)
Young Avengers (I try to be optimistic)

Miniseries:

Civil War
Civil War: Front Line
New Avengers: Illuminati

I don't really have any problems with X-Factor so far; it's funny, and well written, but not especially exciting yet. I'm going to stick on til the end of "Multiple Issues" and decide whether or not I like it enough to continue.
